Lag in ZE [Solved]
As I've worked with ZE I've noticed the more objects I add, the more lag there is. This is very annoying with adding small stuff like a ramp to a top of a building that goes around it to the top. Is there anything I can do to make it have less lag and does this lagging problem happen to you in ZE?

Re: Lag in ZE
it jst runs slower, pretty much. I've never encountered lag in ze before, though. how many objects do you have? Or, it may be your comp isn't powerfull enough to run it as fast as you want it to.

Yes. You can put objects in different layers, then add the extra layers to each mode you need them in. This helps because you can turn off layers and thus not as many objects will be shown at once.allthetutorials123 wrote:Is there anything I can do to make it have less lag

Re: Lag in ZE
Thanks, I will try that. Is there any way to put the objects I've already put in into another layer without having to delete objects and putting it in another layer?Frisbeetarian wrote:Yes. EDIT
I would say I have around 30 objects on the mapCommander_Fett wrote:it jst runs slower, pretty much. I've never encountered lag in ze before, though. how many objects do you have? Or, it may be your comp isn't powerfull enough to run it as fast as you want it to.

Re: Lag in ZE
Ok, I followed the tutorial and I put an object into a new layer that I created. So when I open the layer everything is still there including the object I put in and it is still lagging when I move around, click objects etc. (pretty much everthing I do in ZE.)AceMastermind wrote:http://www.gametoast.com/forums/viewtop ... 46#p113846allthetutorials123 wrote:...Is there any way to put the objects I've already put in into another layer without having to delete objects and putting it in another layer?

Re: Lag in ZE
Did you turn off the other layers so that they are no longer displayed? If that doesn't work, you can always not load a certain layer when you load ZE.

Re: Lag in ZE
Thanks that works. The only thing that is wierd is that the object im placing doesn't show up until I place it (left click.) But, I can just place it and move it to where I want. Thanks everyone.Frisbeetarian wrote:Did you turn off the other layers so that they are no longer displayed? If that doesn't work, you can always not load a certain layer when you load ZE.

Re: Lag in ZE [Solved]
When you starting ZE, you can also not have 'load detailed collision' or whatever it's called checked. Unchecking this should speed things up a bit.
