I've also got an 'Ion Strike' weapon that may interest you.
Oh and a 'Meteor Shower' weapon (never ended up using it for vader in sraiden).

Re: BrutalFront Mod
Not trying to hijack ya thread Fiodis...but here's meteor shower.
I'll give it a new effect to make the meteors themselves rotate and twirl before sending it to you.

Now that meteor strike is amazing....kinda hard ot imagine where I'd use it though. I'll think of something. And that Ion Strike peaks my interest.

iffy is like "so-so" "alright" "eh"
another idea:
since you're big on the more powerful weapons, a charged up superweapon would make good use. say, a special class would have an ion cannon, which takes a while to charge up but releases a massive devastiating beam to eliminate lines of troops or severely damage vehicles.

From what I know Ion Cannons dont kill people, but disable vehicles, so I suggest using Orbital Strike binoculars as a super weapon.

I'm afraid this mod is not fully Dann_Boeing style. A carryable super-ion-toaster or whatever would remove a good deal of the "tactics" sub-goal of this mod.

haha nice. true, tho.I'm afraid this mod is not fully Dann_Boeing style.
the tactical mindset is a great idea, im sticking with you on that.
going along with your recon trooper, i found a video from a friend of mine on xfire who could spawn tanks from LA-ATs. it might not be the greatest challenge but tactical for say "air support" if you want tanks in your mod.
http://www.xfire.com/video/2fd66/ <-- video
also, from dann's chistmas mod, i thought the ability to create a bunker was a great idea.

Re: BrutalFront Mod
What is this Christmas Mod where you make a bunker? Is it his Jinglin' Town map?
And I'm afraid I can't view Xfire videos (wrong software) but it seems to me you're describing this.

Re: BrutalFront Mod
I gotta say, this looks nice.
Well, an ion cannon would be good for the reps to have if you ask me. Only damages droids and tanks. Seems like a weapon the reps would have. But not too uber. Not like a pistol. Like an E-Web.

Re: BrutalFront Mod
Or a stationary Ion Cannon turret? I'd need a new MSH, though...maybe take that Ion Cannon from Hoth and scale it down, add collision geometry, and fool around with the odf. Due to my 0% XSI skill, though, I'd need someone else to do it for me.
And that "bunker", wasn't it just a small wall to kinda-hide-behind? I could do that, easily, but the question is should I? I'm not sure if it would be such a nice move, it looks sorta....un-BF2-ish.
And I'm planning to give the Gunner a dropable and controllable E-Web.

You could just reskin the E-Web. That's what I'd do.

Re: BrutalFront Mod
The E-Web wouldn't really fit for an Ion Cannon turret.

Re: BrutalFront Mod
yeah thats where i was going with rep and ion, its up to you though. the ion cannon from hoth never worked for me...hmm
oh and maybe the ion whatever could disorientate droids and machines like the haywire grenade was supposed to do. chaining would be a nice effect.
e-web? whats that?
i dont have any XSI knowledge either, but from looking around the site, one memeber caleb has a ton of great models he offers, you never know, might find something! haha
true, bunkers wouldnt have much use in a frenzy like battle since its very action packed and your life span wouldnt be THAT long. guess you can scratch that idea. hmm

Re: BrutalFront Mod
Hmmm....disabling, there's an idea. The clone's engineer could, instead of detpacks, have a "Restraining Bolt Cartrige Gun" that, upon hitting a droid, would cause it to freeze in place for a bit. The droids could have a "Paralysis Dart" equivalent. Not sure about that freezing though. I remember there was a topic on it a while back, I forget all the contents of that thread, though. Not sure if it's possible. It'd be a cool thing to include, though, if I could manage it.
@Advanced modders - is that possible?
Oh, and update - I've got 2% XSI skill now!
So I'll see what I can do via Ion Cannon Turret (not much, I'm afraid).
EDIT - I've also figured out .COMBO's. How do I plan to intergrate them into this mod? I plan to remove the Jedi's (and Sith's) deflect states (possibly use that key for something else, or possibly just keep the deflect state but make it sap energy faster). Then I plan to add a deflect to the Jedi's normal attacks, so that you deflect by attacking (more movie realistic, better in my opinion than holding your saber out in front of you and waiting for an opponent to make a move. This'll improve dueling, I hope.)
EDIT 2 - Well, this mod was, at the distant time when I first thought of it, just supposed to improve blaster effects and damage. But what the heck, I've changed a lot, might as well add new units too. I'll add some custom, non-canon units. (Benndak and Hero, I'm talking about guys like Riian, Vestion, and Fygern, to pull a few random names.)
