Re: Model Showcase Thread v3.0
Nice, but it's a pretty large model, and there's a lot of cyan lines, so can we see an actual wireframe?

Don't need one, you can see the lines.Fluffy_the_ic wrote:Nice, but it's a pretty large model, and there's a lot of cyan lines, so can we see an actual wireframe?

Eh. Disregard this. I have been extremely paranoid recently...

Re: Model Showcase Thread v3.0
Cyan/light blue lines only mean that there are disconnected edges, which mean nothing anyways for the model's legitimacy and its use in SWBF2. If you import several of the Stock models, they'll have disconnected edges too, which does help with Un-wrapping the UVs of the model.
Very nice model too, just needs a good texture now and to be setup for the game. Gameplay wise though, it'd suck for the Republic Team to have a Full one blown up, with upwards of 20 clones killed in one shot. It'd make a good mobile CP though.

Re: Model Showcase Thread v3.0
thats my first model ever xD just began modeling... if anyone wants the .scn or .xsi file be my guest
dunno yet how to UV map nor animate anything...maybe you can customize it to a crashed atot
i'm not going to improve the model except some details e.g. the guns
/EDIT: does swbf count's the triangles or the polygons? because i remember someone saying that the polygons are the triangles for swbf o,O

Re: Model Showcase Thread v3.0
If that is your first model, im really impressed! (i had been impressed even if it had been your model nr. 100) totaly awesome model!
Any yes, if you have wireframe on shaded you dont need a wireframe only pic.

Re: Model Showcase Thread v3.0
im pretty shure (i could be wrong though) that nearly every programm counts triangles, beacause a model can have 4 polys but thousands of vertexesJawa_Killer wrote: /EDIT: does swbf count's the triangles or the polygons? because i remember someone saying that the polygons are the triangles for swbf o,O
you dont have to worry about the poly/tricount, battlefront can handle much more than it seems
awesome model by the way!

Re: Model Showcase Thread v3.0
Just a little something I'm working on, might go back and finish up some of the Halo stuff later, but this peaks my interest more. Gonna start on props and buildings soon, the Side stuff will take the longest, especially the character models.
4839 Tris, I still have to optimize parts.

Re: Model Showcase Thread v3.0
Cookie to -_- XD
I've been playing Fallout 3 alot, and started thinking a map with the Brotherhood of Steel versus Super Mutants would be awesome. Along with neutral hostile teams of creatures (Deathclaw
) would be cool, and a Capital Wasteland map with lots of places to explore.
I do plan on making the other variants of armor, the T5-1b, Tesla Power Armor, and the Enclave Armor. Work has been started on The Mall area of DC, and I will probably do some of the outlying areas. I'm still deciding on if it should be straight conquest, or a explore, and find neat stuff while fighting stuff map. Biggest hurdle is the Sides and character models they require, environmental modeling is easier. Far from 50% so no Wip topic yet, and not much more will be seen of this for now.
Close up of added helmet detail, also did some more optimization of the model, more details with lower Tri count.
