Can't re-install SWBF2
I had un-installed star wars battlefront 2 and now when i try to re-install it, i get an air message saying error. I did have mod tools and conversion pack downloaded if that matters... I don't really know what to do.

Re: help!can't re-download
these are the only problems I can think of:
1.Some games have a reinstall limit, it can only be installed so many times
2.download location is unacceptable for some reason
3.disk is scratched or the data got corrupted somehow
4. This should be in SWBFII General, staff can move it, I learned the hard way

How far do you get in the installment process when you get the message?SCORCH wrote:I had un-installed star wars battlefront 2 and now when i try to re-install it, i get an air message saying error. It was at the in-game movies part.I think it was at like 3or4 of the loading bars

Re: help!can't re-download
How many times have you tried to install? Also, I guess the 3/4 loading bar means you got part of it installed? Is there still a file directory in Program Files or wherever you have it on your hard drive?SCORCH wrote:It was at the in-game movies part.I think it was at like 3or4 of the loading bars

Re: help!can't re-download
I've tried to install it twice now and, yes the 3/4 bars were partly installed. I still have a file for swbf2 in program files and in it there's battlefront 2 extreme, conversion pack2.2 and mod tools, and install folder and Game data folder.

Re: help!can't re-download
do you have the option to start battlefront? Or maby, since you have ModTools, load the BF2_ModTools.exe in the GameData folder?

Re: help!can't re-download
I don't have the option to start it only install it. I'll try to move the tools...
Turns out the mod tools are un-installed.

Re: help!can't re-download
Is this the CD version (4 discs) or the DVD version (1 disc)? Either way, you should check the disc(s) for scatches, fingerprints, or other damage.
Oh, and the mod tools don't have anything to do with installing the game.0Anonymous0 wrote:3.disk is scratched or the data got corrupted somehow

Re: help!can't re-download
I was just trying to see if the game would load at all so you know the disk isn't corrupted.Xavious wrote: Oh, and the mod tools don't have anything to do with installing the game.
