December 3, 2007. A date that will make September 4, 2007 small and insignificant. Yay SSBB!
Really though, I've watched the videos for Crysis, and while I see the nice graphics I just don't see fun gameplay.

Dude, do you have your volume up? Are you listening to what they are saying? This is the best gameplay ever!

No offense commander_fusion, but there will be no comparison between Crysis and Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Crysis is going to completely own Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
Just take a look at all the Crysis Gameplay videos. The graphics are beyond belief, the A.I. is beyond belief, the Destruction!!!!!
is beyond belief. The fact that you can destroy everything is enough for me...and popping tires. Everything in that game is beyond belief when it comes to gameplay.
Well...i'm done rambling. Just had to put in my 2 cents...or 5.

Have you played it though? How do you know those reviewers weren't paid like most of them are nowadays? I'm not going to get my hopes up until 1 year after its release and see if the majority of gamers are still "OMGBBQWTF"ing about it.
And I know what to expect with Brawl, look at Melee. It's been one of the most popular games for 6 years, why? Because it doesn't get old, every new fight is random.
I just see Crysis as the typical shooter that everyone loves then a few months later people don't even care about it anymore. Look at SWBFII.

Crysis modding
I'm looking forward to the modding possibilities of this game, I'm not really focused on the shipped gameplay, the modtools for Crysis are supposed to be released at the same time as Crysis.

That sounds very nice from a modding perspective.t551t551 wrote:A great deal of the engine is written in Just-In-Time compiled .lua, making modding even easier.
Can't wait. Fully destructible environment. Awesome.
I have a feeling that I'm going to be spending a lot of time knocking trees over onto people.
Gonna upgrade my computer very soon so I should be fine as far as specs go.
Again, I Can't Wait!

Really? When I bought a Gamecube one of the biggest reasons was to try out SSBM. Yeah, I had it for about two weeks and sold it for something else. It's funny that you say the fights are random, because I felt that they were all exactly the same. It's obviously just a difference in tastes, but even with three other players the SSB series gets real boring real fast.commander_fusion wrote:And I know what to expect with Brawl, look at Melee. To this day my buddies and I still play mutliplayer 007: Nightfire, Timesplitters Future Perfect, Halo 2, Halo, heck, even Perfect Dark. Hardly shooters that have gone out of style, particularly the last four. Now I don't think Crysis will be the Next Half-Life 2 (which I personally didn't like) but I doubt we're talking about a few months of shelf life. And let's not forget the shooter that still has plenty of populated servers online today, Unreal Tournament 2004.commander_fusion wrote:I just see Crysis as the typical shooter that everyone loves then a few months later people don't even care about it anymore. Personally the games I'm looking forward to the most are Guitar Hero Rocks the 80s, Guitar Hero III and Rock Band. Now that is good gameplay. Spider-man: Friend or Foe looks really fun too, but that's probably going to be a beat-it-sell-it game.

Yes, really. If you have friends to play with, it's TONS of fun. Seriously, it's one of those games that you play all night long. And all morning long. And the rest of the day too.Teancum wrote:Really? When I bought a Gamecube one of the biggest reasons was to try out SSBM. Yeah, I had it for about two weeks and sold it for something else. Oh, and I just realized that the way I worded that made it sound like you have no friends... xD I didn't mean that at all

I read from the newspaper that this years E3 is not for the public but only for some 30 huge game publishers only. and it's held in a hotel i think.swbf_lase wrote:Has anyone seen this on E3 07 yet?
Well, I can't really play this game with my computer so I will only watch videos of the gameplay in Youtube.

Yeah, played it with friends. Thus the "even with three other players the SSB series gets boring real fast." Again, anyone else can love em all they want, but to me it's really boring, it's impossible to see everything you want to be able to, and it's incredibly repetitive.Dohnutt wrote:Yes, really.
