I had actually considered adding extra units to space battles before, but the resulting amount of LUA re-coding would be tremendous, not to mention well beyond my skill level. The reason for that is the same reason that space heroes don't work on all maps. Same goes for AI-controlled heroes, which I wanted to do a while back.

The rebel marines will stay as they are. Their current weapon load-out suits their function as SWBF2 marines well enough. Adding a knife attack to the marines would "pollute" their secondary weapons and make using the marines a good deal less intuitive, as I discovered when I tried to give every unit a melee attack. And stealth would be ridiculously unbalanced. I've decided to confine stealth to the Recon class.

It sounds to me like a problem regarding the 1.1 patch version that you downloaded. That's the only "mod" that affects BattlefrontII.exe.

Are you using Vista ? cause i had problem running the game after doing everything correct , it just says "the exe is not connected to any program at the moment" (something like that) when ever i pres the shortcut or even the start game from the disc pop up

If so happens , use console user setting to the shortcut and you'll ply the game normally after you press "agree" on letting the start up

Try installing the patch at your desktop , then Manually copy the patch to the place where you install the game

PS: you must have 1.1 patch for mostly all maps and to play online , not to mention most mods need it by minimal request

yup, i did that.
my game is installed in D:\Star wars battlefront 2 and then it goes D:\Star wars battlefront 2\gamedata and D:\Star wars battlefront 2\install etc., so i put the bfiiupdateint1_1 in D:\Star wars battlefront 2, and i patched it, and it still says "wrong disc inserted"!
could it be a problem with the disc? is there some way of patching the disc to make it compatible with the version of swbf2 thats on my computer?

I assume, as you downloaded the International DVD 1.1 patch, that your game is the international DVD version?

well i dunno if its that hard. i remember that there's a geonosis map in filefront that's called GO1 or something like that. and Space Geonosis in conversion pack got the same folder name. i remember once i was installing the conversion. then the map or viceversa and somehow i had space geonosis from conversion pack with 10 classes per side. with general grievous able to use vehicles, magna guards, a lot of droids and several clones classes (all custom classes on each side) i cant explain better how did it happend but it was awesome!
a few weeks later i had to format my computer and i forgot to save the folder of the combined maps. and i tryed again and i couldnt

anyway. i think its the same as the land battles. just replace it and try.
