Movie Editing

Post by Darth_Z13 »

Just wondering what movie editing software people use.

I use Pinnacle Studio Plus 10 Titanium Edition. It works fabulously! :)

Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0. Final Cut rip-off but oh so much better. Almost as good as Angelina Jolie...almost.

Well no, not even close.

I use Macromedia Flash 8 or Windows Movie Maker depending on what the movie is for.

Does anyone know of any free movie editing programs that are somewhat professional? I doubt it.

Windows Movie Maker works but only use it if you can't get any other movie editor. I've also found it to be very unstable.

Hey another Pinnacle user. I have version 10.4 (I think, I know its 10.something.) but your right it does work really well. I've also used imovie on mac, that's another good program.

It's not unstable if you know what codecs are and how to use them.

But sawyer was asking for a free, professional program. No such thing in the film industry.

Moved to technical advice.

Depends on what you are looking for as far as ease of use and what exactly you want. Usually the freeware stuff are either have a high leaning curve or just do so-so work. I use Tmpeg for slicig videos and some demuxing, but as far as movie editing like transision effects and such, My comp came with muvee autoproducer and it's ok. Again, depends on what you are doing.

Windows Movie Maker isnt too shabby, but if you want a wider coverage, use Adobe* Premiere.

One program that costs a little bit but is user friendly and effective is nero 7. This is the program I used before I got Adobe Production Studio.

This wasn't really a get a program thread. I was just curious as to what program people use.

I use Pinnacle, Windows MM, or a program that came with my camera, depending on how high-rent I want the movie to be. XD

Ah yes I used that once because WMM was crashing and I had a project due the next day. Yes VERY user friendly but it couldn't do titles or images.

I use Windows Movie Maker. But I hardly ever make movies...
Just wondering, but is it possible to make the frames small? Like, less than one second long? It doesn't let me...
