How to create models in XSI and other 3D applications and make them work in Battlefront 1 & 2. Post models, tips for application usage and share anything XSI, 3DMax, SketchUp, etc.

im not sure what people mean by this, or why they are asking. this is an asset, not a map. if , when he is done, he puts it in a map (which i would bet my left foot he will put it in a map imediatly), then it will be in a map.

ontopic: this is so amazing, Darth_spiderpig and I have put all space maps on hold till he is done with this, its just that awesome :yes: :thumbs:

PS: Collision will be a big problem. There will be a lot of bugs which he have to fix.

After release the map, I will release the assets.

Well, I hope to have about 25 parts of this model that will make the total ship, including the interiors, so I'm interested in knowing how they work portals. and collisions do not worry, I already tried with other models of interior spaces and have had no problems. :wink:

Nice. I might say this though: imagine how awesome battlefront would have been if the guys at lucas arts running everything said: "Ok, here is a budget (listen, they can afford a large budget as this game is a total cash cow), do what you may. We have a flexible deadline. Go and design to your heart's content!"

sigh...alas, the world does not work that way. So much talent is restricted.

Sweet!Awesome!! 3D Max is much better than XSI. Modelling with 3D Max is much more simple and faster than XSI. It's just perfect for big projects. :D Can't wait to see the whole thing. :wink:

Well, then the easiest way is to make the half model then copy it and merge it to one model. it's the way i work in xsi it's fast and exact.
And anyway wow xD how to reach the bridge ? about a lift? teleport?
