Hello everyone. I've been busy working on a Lee Enfield model for my WWI: Death mountain mod. I've also been making some crates. Bear with me, I've only been modelling/texturing for a small amount of time (roughly 2-3 months, off and on) but I am ready to present...

The wood texture and the model is more or less final. It comes to 2020 tri's so I am very happy with the result. The metal texture is very much in the work in progress phases. Note that I omitted some details and changed a few things from the actual Lee Enfield so as to work in SWBF2 better.

notes/credits:
I made my own textures, following some tutorials, and using some stock textures as reference or in there entirety. Credits to Marth8880 and THEWULFMAN for giving help and advice.

Looking good Zwyx, particularly for someone who's only been doing this for 2-3 months. You should have seen me at 3 months, I was awful. *shudders*

Snowy crate looks pretty good. I like it! It's a simple model with a decent texture. I do think the icicles look a bit odd.

The icicles may look a tad odd, yes. They are a squished, subdivided cube. I could do better, but they look okay ingame and I like them. I'm glad you like the texture, it took a while to make (even with tutorials) so I'm proud of it :D

Appreciate it cress! As for the sound, if Marth8880 would ever answer back on steam, I would like to ask him if he could do the sounds. If not, I can hopefully make a .wav file and have someone else compile it.

On another note, current triangle count is just under 800, not too shabby! :D

This british rifleman looks really nice, also the revovler :D
But the rifleman textures could need some work. Looks a bit like a farmer :wink:

The textures are supposed to look like rough fabric, though I will admit he does look somewhat like a farmer. :lol: :funny2: I will see what I can do to fix that.

I suggest making some pockets, insignia, etc. for his jacket so it doesn't all have the same look. Also I think the UVs on the arms are a bit hasty. You could try redoing them based on a stock model.

EDIT: Plus, his wrist glove gap thing should be smoothed out, I think.

Mills Bomb V1.0

While you may think that a grenade model goes unnoticed, I think that it can make a world of difference. Hence, I made myself a Mills Bomb.

just under 300 tris. Well that probably is a tad much for a grenade model, any less than that and it looks rather poor. I could maybe go without bevelling, but I like my Mills Bomb the way it is. Mills bomb texture made by me, British flag from google images.

Suggestions/Comments/Questions/etc?

Thanks for the references THEWULFMAN. I am going to overhaul the unit this week, giving him a new torso, re-doing the texture (again), and finally giving him the trench coat and pouches for ammo. This is my biggest project, which I expect will take longer than my Lee Enfield. Im looking forward to it! :D

The map is almost done being re-worked too. Im doing both at once. Glad your looking forward to the update.
