getting edited odf and dds files to work ingame

Post by mickelobe »

Hello, i have a few questions on how to get modified odf files that i edited with notepad (mainly weapons and vehicles) to work ingame. could someone link me to a tutorial or take the time to explain how i can get these files to work ingame. also do i have to worry about anything when i recolor skins and it asks about the mip map stuff when i try to save it. a pointer on how to put those back ingame would be nice too since managed to unpack them with that one extracting tool but i dont see how i can reassemble the lvl file from which dds files were extracted

This question should be posted on the SWBF modding area...
But the main question is : Did you download SWBF Mod Tools ?

You talked of *.DDS files, but they're useless because original *.TGA files are included in the Mod Tools... Unless you use the "old method" to change textures. In this case, you must be careful on mip-maps.
