Mandalorian Wars Project 1.0

Bugs/ things to be improved:
green has been fixed
yellow will be fixed
red was intentional/ will not be fixed

Vizsla still has jetpack model on levels without jetpacks
E web turrets have no texture on maps without turrets
Melee trooper is overpowered
Deathwatch are wrong color
Lasers are the wrong color
On Mos Eisley the sides are listed as Team 1 and Team 2.
The Electric Gun doesn’t make any sound.
Side recognition is hardthis one's kinda iffy, I'm not sure what more I can do.
Some of the troopers have the shadow of the jetpack appear on their backs. But they have no jetpack.

This does add a whole new era to the era list, right? So there won't be any problem if I already have the Convo Pack?

This mod is pretty good. First off, its entirely Mandalorians. Awesome. Second, the combat is balanced, although the classes are a bit too similar. I do like how you had the True Mandalorians’ armor change from silver armor to green armor for jungle environments. If you want you could probably take this further by having a tan/brown version for desert places, but its up to you.

Here are a couple suggestions from me: Up to you if you want to make the changes or not.

Skin Changes:

Death Watch have black armor. I have the entire Jango Fett: Open Seasons collection and all the Death Watch troopers have black armor. There isn’t a hint of purple in their armor in the comics. You can keep the purple details on the engineer and stuff, but the main armor pieces should be black for all Death Watch troopers.

The blue on the Death Watch Trooper and the Mandalorian Trooper and Montross as well should be darkened. Right now its kinda this ugly “baby blue” color.

The skin for the Mandalorian Trooper and the Mandalorian Sniper could be switched with each other. In Open Seasons most of the Mandalorian grunts had those lime green markings on them.

Weapon Changes:

In Open Seasons the True Mandalorian's weapons fired red bolts. Death Watch fired blue. Very minor change of course.

Class Changes:

The Melee trooper for both sides is overpowered. My suggestion is too remove the melee trooper class and instead give the Defender or Officer a melee attack. It would kind of be like the Melee attack ARC Commander used in BFX. It would have the grenade throwing animation but a gauntlet vibroblade would sprout on the gauntlet of the trooper. ARC commander was able to do it with a tiny knife. I’m not sure if it would be possible to do what I explained though.

Bugs:

Some of the troopers have the shadow of the jetpack appear on their backs. But they have no jetpack.

Vizla’s jetpack doesn’t work.

The Electric Gun doesn’t make any sound.

On Mos Eisley the sides are listed as Team 1 and Team 2.

There’s probably more somewhere. But this is all I’ve got for now.

Great! I'll download it as soon as I get back from vacation. I think I'll delete BFX in order to play this mod because there's a lot more stuff coming out and my missions folder is exceeding its limits.

I made the DeathWatch skins when I just had the 2nd open seasons comic (on Korda 6), it was a bonus on the Star Wars Bounty Hunter game. They looked purple to me, so that's how I made them. I may get around to changing them, but it's not my main priority.
The blue on the Death Watch Trooper and the Mandalorian Trooper and Montross as well should be darkened. Right now its kinda this ugly “baby blue” color.
I was having a hard time getting it right, I may go back to it later.
The skin for the Mandalorian Trooper and the Mandalorian Sniper could be switched with each other. In Open Seasons most of the Mandalorian grunts had those lime green markings on them.
This is mainly personal preference, I saw about an even amount of green and blue, and I like blue, so there. :P
In Open Seasons the True Mandalorian's weapons fired red bolts. Death Watch fired blue. Very minor change of course.
Oops. Forgot about that one.
The Melee trooper for both sides is overpowered.
I'd like to keep him in, and I'm working on balancing him out, but we'll see how it works out.
Vizla’s jetpack doesn’t work.
Yes it does. It was just a last minute realization that he had a jetpack on all maps, and I forgot to change the model when I changed that.
The Electric Gun doesn’t make any sound.
Not sure how to fix that one.
On Mos Eisley the sides are listed as Team 1 and Team 2.
I'll try to fix that.

Thanks for the bug reports! I'll make a 1.1 when I've fixed the reported bugs. Just an fyi, I have the open seasons comics now too. :)

Can someone confirm the electric rifle bug? The sound works fine for me on all maps.

It is a bug and it's assuredly because he's using stock CW sounds and hasn't corrected the sound .lvls to add in those sounds. You'll see a lot of maps/mods forget that for CW arc casters.

Do any of the classes have a fusion cutter? Because how am I supposed to repair droids and bypass mines?

Sorry I'm so picky...

For your side recognition, I would either look around for a "forceredmarkeroverenemy" code, or hex-edit a floating CP-type marker onto each unit, which would have the team logo on it or whatnot.

Nice sides mod.

I am aware this is just the first version and more content is to come, but I have to say I find the weapons rather regular --that's not a bad thing, standard weapons are best for a good balance, they are easy to use and very effective but I always like to see (and encourage) innovative weapons, and this is my main suggestion for the next version of the Mandalorian Wars Project: try to experiment with the weapons.
EDIT: ok the Mandalorian Defender is very original, I admit I haven't played as him before.

Overall the skins are pretty, I like the color system, however, I think the classes should look more unique, I suggest giving different accessories to each one of them, like kamas, for instance.

Everytime I select a normal unit, the Jango Fett musical theme starts playing, as if I was playing a hero instead of a trooper, that gets pretty tiresome after a while, I know I can simply turn music off, but I would like to see that issue solved.

Well, I enjoyed it and will be waiting for the next version. Thanks for the release!

There's an easy way to fix this: just use the sound a lightsaber makes when it turns on (com_inf_saber_on).

Did you use it on Geonosis? That should explain why (Count Dooku = Force Lightning). If not, then I do not know why.

It actually makes noise on all the maps for me, which is why I'm confused.
