Battlefront Model Art

Lookie what I found:

It seems this is the person responsible for the models from Star Wars: battlefront. This may not be anything new though, but I thought I'd share what I found with you. Of note is that we can actually see the Bothan Spy and the Imperial Officer were modelled (the Julian Glover model is still in BF2 though so we're not missing out on that), and you can also see that R2-D2 was also finished (although why none of these assets were included is beyond me)

There is an R2-D2 model in the SWBF1 assets. It's not the same one, but there's no effective difference. The other two models were made available outside the modtools.

There are always tons of unused assets. Things get cut - that's how these things work.

If you want to but crediting Pandemic would be just fine.

Some unused assets were included, some not (such as IG88 and the Arc Captain). I also never knew that the bothan was released outside the mod tools, but that Imperial Officer was included in BF2's mod tools.

You can credit whomever you feel is deserving, but the assets are Pandemic's and no one else's. This guy keeps images for his portfolio since he made them, but they are not (nor have they ever been) "his" models.

What is the Julian Glover model?

Imperial officer - specifically the Imperial Officer is modelled from General Veers, who was played by Julian Glover in The Empire Strikes Back.

I give it my opinion:
It would be more reliable to credit Pandemic for the overall model. Why?
Because.
Maybe this modeler works for Pandemic, and he had made the model, but it isn't forcely him who made the textures.
Maybe he made the model, but another game developper UVed the model.
Maybe he made the model, but he didn't export it himself.
Maybe it's a shipped model he modified with authorization.
There are too many "Maybe" to know exactly who made the asset properly.
So for me, I'll prefer to credit Pandemic.
However, it's an interressing subject, maybe I'll write an essay on it for Helkaan's modding labs...

It's only my opinion. I'm not tolding someone must credit him/her/it/them.
