RE: the newbie support page
good idea! I need help in that area also plus doing the animations. I'm sure if you got questions, someone has answers. I'll be keeping my eyes on this thread.

even better question, what are you doing to open it?
As for jedimodder, you can create any model in any program, just have to have a good 3d converter. The best one I found was deep exploration from right hemisphere (http://www.righthemisphere.com/). The reason for this is the only .msh exporter that works as the designers intended is for xsi, which only accepts dotxsi and wavefront objects natively. There is a free version of xsi on softimage's website, but I don't think the plugin works with it (no one has confirmed nor disproved this theory) and, if i remember correctly, it does not have support for .obj files.

the xsi to mesh exporter has been tested with XSI ModTool and doesn't work.

It's XSI not xis. Goto http://softimage.com/ . That is the official site. Maya is http://www.alias.com/ , and 3d studios is http://www.discreet.com/ . I normally do not like "search google" answers, but nimlot is right. Not to be mean, but it only took a few seconds to google those sites. Please refer there and through out the forum before posting common questions like that. That way you have a defense against the google comment.

I'm not surprised nothing comes up when you search for XIS. Next time try searching for XSI instead XIS.dipstick555 wrote:i typed in xis in google and nothing came up. can u give the web site.
