I have made the base of a boardable Droid Control Ship. The exterior is pretty much done. All I need to do is add a couple of things here and there ,then i'll be putting the hangars in.
Once thats in place I will optimize the model (lower the poly counts without effecting the look of the model).
The hangar will stretch all around the ring with the 2 main hangar entrances and 4 other smaller ones on the inside of the ring, towards the middle. The interior will have a big generator situated inside inbetween the engines and where the sphere joins the ring.
When in a map the objective will be to destroy this generator by flying into the hangar in your N1 Naboo fighter. There will be the usual turret system for the hull of the ship aswell as turrets inside the hangar ,which will be filled with AAT's , MTTs and staps to help defend the generator.
For the reason of keeping the battle about dogfighting and destroying the main generator I wont be implementing objectives like destroying the engines and bridge etc. At least not at 1st.
Well, if he releases it as a resource I'm sure he could be persuaded to add a few holes for us to add kit bashed interios to. But we need not worry about that until it is done.
Iv just done a test in game. Iv scaled it to the correct size and my God its massive. A republic cap ship can fit inbetween the 'mandables' (in between the gap at the front of the ring).
I need to move the naboo planet and add some explosions in the air . Does any1 know how to do this?
explosions? like on geonosis? thats easy.......or you place like at kashyyyk and geonosis the mortar explosions with a new fx file......the mortar exps have got a msh and odf but the explosions in the sky are just in the sky file and in the effects folder
Sorry to trouble your current discussion, Lord-Bandu, but as far as can tell, you have not provided many details regarding the possible defenses this Lucrehulk-class Transport may own once it will be finalized...
So, would you have any idea of the weapons the crew present inside it might exploit, or are you totally in the dark about the additional stuffs you could add so as to make this Droid Control Ship much more realistic ?
hell add more when he wants, right now it just seems to server as a carrier for fighter squadrons. i was gonna complete the pandemic version of this model but since you already made your own i probably wont.
There will be a bunch of turrets on the hull and in the hangar. For the meantime il use the shipped turrets but i will make the proper Droid Control Ship turrets at a later date
Off-topic : Since you seem to have spent a certain time to work on the Lucrehulk-class Transport Pandemic Studios have designed for Star Wars Battlefront II, are you sure that not releasing your own project(s) based on it would be really "valuable", minilogo' ?...
oh mine wasnt gonna be based on pandemics model it is pandemics model, just all the left out stuff added to it and psych0fred was also gonna finish the nebulon-b frigate.
