Reinstalling Steam

I was wondering, if I uninstalled Steam and reinstalled it, would I have to redownload my games?

possibly. I don't have steam, but I've seen it in work.

You have to redownload the games them again.

Steam is a front-end. It shouldn't uninstall the games, but you probably won't be able to play them without steam authentication.
