I need to adjust my vehicles

Post by n1nj4 »

Whenever I run my map, half the vehicles explode. And only a few of the vehicles are ever used by my men. I'm basically trying to make an air battle, so are there any adjustments I can change to increase how "attractive" the ships are to my men?

if you put the vehicle spawns within a control zone, then they will not decay and explode.

are you sure you put them in a control zone and not a capture region?

ya, i am. Well, what I basically did was I put "cp1_control" in the box under the cp1. Then I made a big box region and under both Regionid and classproperties, I put cp1_control. That's all I did, and I think that's all I have to do...and I think the option to bring more soldiers to the ships is under the ship odf, but i'm not sure...

There's one more thing, you would need to select each vehicle spawn, and type (in this case) cp1 under the section labeled ControlRegion. Change "cp1" to the name of whatever cp a vehicle's control region is attached to. Since the vehicles are showing up, I'm assuming you've updated your LUA.

As for getting AI to enter your vehicles, try adding paths, with one hub over a command post spawn point, and another hub over the vehicle spawn.

I've already done that and updated the LUA. But just because you put vehicles in the path, would more people enter them?

I've had a similar problem. Is there enough space between the spawn points? If you are spawning Gunships, you need to have more space between the spawn points than a speederbike, if you place the spawn points for the Gunships right next to eachother, they will explode.

And to make the bots enter them, you need to place the spawn points for a CP a bit close to the vehicle spawn points. (Not too close ;) )

I think I'll try your idea for getting the bots into their ships, but tell me, if the ships are close together, would they explode when they spawn?

yes, if they spawn inside of eachother...
