Is there a way to get XSI mod tools woking on 64bit computer
I just got a computer that uses 64bit, and whenever I try to install it it says I need 32bit. Is there a way I can get around that or is there a 64bit version??

XSI Mod Tool 7.5 installs fine on x64(bit) Windows 7. Are you having trouble with 7.5 or Mod Tool 6?

its not working on 7.5. Do you have windows 7 64bit? Because ever time I try to set it up it says it needs 32bit. Keep in mind I want the free Version.

I have both Windows 7 x64(bit) Home and Professional installed on two computers. Softimage (XSI) Mod Tool 7.5 installed on both without issues. I did however use the version of Modtool 7.5 from before the Autodesk aquisition of Softimage. That might have something to do with it, or it might not. I haven't tried downloading what is currently available from the site.
The only XSI related application that requires 32bit OS is the Software Protection Manager for the full version. This has to do with a specific driver that the OS needs to recognize the USB/COM dongle used for authentication. There is also a 64 bit version of the SPM that comes bundled with the application as the software is has both x86(32 bit) and x64 versions on disc.

I heard that XSI discontinued their mod tools and foundation program. There might be new ones but they won't be mod tools or foundation.swado95 wrote:Well all I know is it won't work. are they coming out with a new one any time soon?
I think that's right (last I heard)
