That looks pretty nice. What I suggest you do is either change the side to Phase I clone troopers, or wait for someone to model some Phase II ones. With that new converter out they'll probably be here pretty soon. A couple more things you could do is make the water less blue and change the grass texture to something that's a bit darker green. A little foliage wouldn't go amiss either. Or some flame and smoke from the crashed ships. I'll shutup now.
Yeah, I know I'm strange, but yes. I would prefer the ol boring 501st on every single darned map. As ateas stated, we like to use our own sides on every map, so changing the sides will [word not allowed] everything up.
No offense, but it doesn't really look like Rakata Prime/Lehon. Rakata Prime was a tropical planet. With beaches, palm trees, etc. covering the whole surface. This looks more like a fusion between Yavin and Kashyyyk. I mean, it looks pretty good so far, but just not like Rakata Prime should. Maybe you could get away with it, but me, personally, I'd rather keep it true to KotOR. Not to say that a planet can't change in 4000 years, but still... I don't know... do what you must. Just making a suggestion. I was actually going to do a Rakata Prime map completely accurate to KotOR, but I kinda got sidetracked and stuff, so yeah...
I did have a really good sky texture that I made based off of screens from KotOR, but it was lost when I wiped my computer a few days ago. If I still had it I'd send it to you... maybe I can try remaking it for you... I don't know, I'll have to see. Though one thing I do recommend you do, is download Bandu's palm tree models from the downloads section and use those instead of those regular trees. And maybe use some of the textures from the shipped Kashyyyk; they've got some really good beach and grass textures you could use. And maybe use some reskinned rock formations and stones from Tatooine: Dune Sea, since Rakata Prime had a lot of rocks and stuff like that. Those are my suggestions.
Thanks for the suggestions. I know it doesn't really look like Lehon but I will try and make it more accurate. Unfortunately, I haven't reached Lehon in KotOR yet (still on Korriban). Does anyone know where I can get the save game editor (I think that's what its called)?
And ya I am going to try and make it more Rakata-y.
Well, I'd suggest maybe try getting a little further into the game so as you can actually see Rakata Prime as it is in the game. It's never a good idea to make a map when you have no idea what the planet looks like. You should always try to get a very good idea of what the world you're designing should look like before you go and make it.
It took me a long time just to get Saleucami looking just right, and it's a pretty barren and simple planet to do. Rakata Prime is going to be a lot more complicated. While playing through, definitely take the time to go around and take very meticulous and detailed screenshots of every square inch you possibly can. I guarantee you it'll help a lot.
The problem with Saleucami was that I only had a 10-second scene in the movie that flew by at 100 kph. You have a much more detailed and convenient level to use as reference for Rakata Prime, so I just suggest to try and use it to it's fullest extent. Just making a suggestion though. It's your map; you can design it however you want. But the closer you get it to the game, the easier it'll be for people to recognize the planet they're playing on. My number one goal when designing my maps is to get people to feel like they're actually there on the planet that they're playing on.
One thing you may want to do is try and ask around for someone who's willing to make you some custom models, or maybe try making some yourself. I'm not sure whether or not you know how to use XSI, but having some custom models would really make the map better, since there is a lot of stuff on the KotOR level that you can't really make using just shipped assets. The Temple of the Ancients is a perfect example. Or the Rakata enclave. But, maybe you want to do it on a different area of the planet. In that case you could probably get away with making up some stuff. Though I would still suggest to try and get your hands on some custom models anyway, since the style of architecture on Rakata is much different from that of Yavin or Naboo.

I don't think most maps do have the same boring old 501st troopers...they always make new sides. So, technically, we really don't get enough of the 501st. Plus, the way the units were set up with their different weapons really worked out gameplay wise, and sometimes, it doesn't with edited sides.
