I started a munge this morning. Then my computer froze mid-munge and I was forced to restart (I waited for several minutes to make sure the computer was truly frozen). Obviously I was prepared for some backlash, but not of this kind.
Here's what's happening. The munge is doing exactly what it usually does for most Vista users: short munge. Only I already have the munge fix in there! I even tried pulling the folder out of there, deleting the abc folder in addon, munging the world from scratch, and copy-pasting all files that were source files and had nothing to do with the munge. It still munges nothing. It doesn't even create any level files or anything, so a manual clean is rather useless at this point.
So what am I left with? Can I do anything short of uninstalling the mod tools and re-installing them? Will THAT even do any good?
EDIT: It didn't. I'm not using Vista, but I ran into the quickmunge problem a long while back and used the fix in the FAQ's. It's worked like a charm since. Now I have a broken munge for this map.

Have you considred it was the map your trying to munge cause this, elaborate on what you did involving the map, between the last time you munged((that it worked), and the last time you munged (when it did not work).

Re: Bad, bad news
Well, I was trying to get missing sounds in game. I had created a new sound world file, set it up as per the FAQ, and was munging that when it froze. So I had replaced the soundmunge batch file that the tutorial in the FAQ had said. But the last time I tried to munge I did not have any sound selected. It's the world and side stuff...in fact, pretty much everything that's not getting munged. It even goes through all the custom geometry in the Munge Output that I know takes a good long while to munge...but it just breezes right through them. So the munge knows what files need to be munged. It's just not happening correctly I guess?THEWULFMAN wrote:Have you considred it was the map your trying to munge cause this, elaborate on what you did involving the map, between the last time you munged((that it worked), and the last time you munged (when it did not work).
EDIT: As an experiment, I tried munging a backed up version of the map. It seems to be working, and it wasn't too long ago. I guess I'll just take it as an example of what happens if you stop a munge. And always, always, always make backups regularly.
