These are all OBJ units or lightsaber models - as I cannot get XSI working on my system this is as far as I can actually get them. They're for SWBF1 so no cloth, please.
I could do this, but i hate enveloping and have some other open projects
I can get the main window open but I always get a crash when attempting to load anything. None of the solutions I've found regarding this crash have worked.
Have the same problem. First i solved it by exporting everything to msh and reimport. But than someone told me i need to run the bat that opens the exe as admin and now i can load and save everything without problems.

That option does not work for me. Regardless of the file, or even if I hit "new" on the File menu, I get a crash that says something like "unable to save scene before system failure".
I'm looking to get a new computer, of course, but that's some time away.
mh ok i know this error message very good. Where have you installed Modtools?? the project path is in the install path and normaly there are no write and read rights. So maybe you can allow this for the installation path.

I've tried installing on both D: and F: drives. I've tried every suggested fix. I'm guessing my system is just not up to runing Softimage Mod Tool.
I would like to make a request, I hope it is small.
In the assets for TAT\MSH, can someone erase the doors from these models (cut the door away so you can walk inside of the object)
1. tat2_bldg_large1.msh
2. tat2_bldg_medium1.msh
I do not need it soon, if some one makes it feel free to post it here or PM me the files.
Thanks.
I'm not a modder, but i think IK enough to know that's not posible, unless you're willing to add furniture inside.
the builidings with closed doors are made only from the outside, not the inside, but again, you can add things to prevent it from looking like an empty room.
Yes I am aware of the objects being empty inside, it is strictly the reason I *want* to kick down the doors.
I know it takes some 3D Modelling work, I'm dumb at it. I asked here if someone can.
i believe I can,if you give me a .obj or .max file, but you might wait some time(1 day to switch to win 8 were 3d max is+3 days vacation) you want to open the doors or remove them?
The msh files can be converted to a ".wrl" format which opens in Blender, which is far as I got.
They are re-converted to an msh model with a small tool (that you can get somewhere on GT) wrl-to-msh and msh-wrl
The two files are stock, you can find them in the assets for TAT/MSH.
Textures don't need to be edited, if I want, I can do those on my own.
