Birth of the Rebellion "Test" Map
Hey GT. What I am releasing today is this mod that has been on my list of unfinished projects for a while now. I originally started it in late 2008 with the intention of it being an era mod having Imperial Clones versus Rebels. Then I decided to do something based on The Force Unleashed. Since then several other mods also focusing on the time period between ROTS and ANH has been released. I was working on this mod on and off and then stopped. But just a few days ago I resumed work and using the new skills and resources that I have acquired decided to wrap it up and came up with this "test" map. So here are some screenshots:

This looks nice. I'm doing a TFU-style Jedi Temple right now.

Re: Birth of the Rebellion "Test" Map
Awesome! Is the big bulky Dark Trooper supposed to be a Purge Trooper?

Re: Birth of the Rebellion "Test" Map
Yep, genaral_mitch is right, that is a Purge Trooper.
This test map will be the only rendition of this mod that'll ever be released. I just want to get it off my chest so I can start my next planned project.

The purge trooper is pretty good.
Except for their rocket launchers.

Wow. This looks great. Is this really going to be the first and the last of it? It would make a REALLY good era mod.

Re: Birth of the Rebellion "Test" Map
The new units look awesome... especially Kota's Militia side, and the new weapons. Looks like you put a lot of work in to this.
I also like the idea of not having any hero units, makes the sides more important.
Downloading now.

Re: Birth of the Rebellion "Test" Map
If you read the first post properly you probably wouldn't have asked that. It is not a mod. It is a converted map with some different sides. (Very good sides BTW).looks and sounds great. is this only playable on maps added with this mod or can i also play this on the normal maps??

Re: Birth of the Rebellion "Test" Map
No, they were made by Syth and he released them in the Battlefront Project model pack HERE.[Padawan]Helkaan wrote:Are they from BFX assets?
Thanks, but I already did most work when I developed the Exile's Voyage.Jendo7 wrote:Looks like you put a lot of work in to this.
Well the map's not really the main focus though. I thought Bespin: Cloud City was a very balanced map (and still do) so that's why I chose it to develop the sides on and release with.Lagomorphia wrote:It is a converted map with some different sides.

I don't know how to install... Do I just use 7-zip on the Zip folder itself? My reason to ask is because it wouldn't allow me to use 7-zip on the file inside the folder. Thanks!

Re: Birth of the Rebellion "Test" Map
You can use 7-Zip on the .zip but the file on the inside is an .exe which doesn't require any additional programs to run. It's self-extracting.
