If I had to guess, I'd say you modeled a cylinder, and gave it a completely transparent texture. Then you had it animated to move like an escalator, once its done moving through the fan and into the player, it turns around (over his head, perhaps) back to the fan, and it cycles. The fan model itself has a "wind-blowing" effect. Am I right?
I am not sure exactly what you are describing. What I did was create, essentially, a pinwheel with no center. I used a rotating collision to create the illusion of wind. It's not a perfect solution, as you mentioned, but there is no perfect solution (and in my opinion there is no better solution, having thought through a number of them) in a game that doesn't have a lot of real physical interaction with the environment.

I thought that the fans were "turrets" with a flamethrower like weapon that had
MaxPush = "?.0"
MinPush = "?.0"
in it´s _ord-odf

Finally made my way all the way through, died 17 times had a score of -5 and was on my last life gingerly flying through the exhaust port but I made it. Woot!

Very good and fun map with the right amount of challenge that almost makes you want to pound on your keyboard but then you give it another go and make it through (just to hit the next obstacle but then if it were easy why bother right :D

Good job look forward to the next installment.

One question though, near the start where there is a power up in one of the back caves are you suppose to fall to your doom if you go to far in? If not I managed to find a way to.

Well, I'm a little late to the party, but I finally to the time to install and beat it! Regretably, on my second try (those fans are buggers). But great job, Mav!

Mav, even though I found certain parts frustrating, I have to commend you for doing such a well made map. I just beat it, and I haven't had this much fun since playing Dark Forces and Jedi Knight. Well done! :thumbs:

First off, incredibly awesome mod.
Unfortunately, I'm stuck on the 15 second timer.
Ah, I'll get it eventually.

All I lost were the scripts. I still have all the models and textures, but they're not as important.

The Dropping platforms will be useful when their released (And if they'll be released) for just a whole map full of them, lol, that oughta be fun! 10/10, a little late with posting even tho I finished a day after release.

All it is is a platform scripted play an animation (drop) when the player stands on them. (OnEnterRegion function)

(At least, I think that's how it works)

They could just as easily be doors (in fact that would be easier), but in this case they are as you say.

Yes, that transport is awesome, brings back memories... can't wait to see it in a space map.

I noticed that some of the panels say in Aurebesh "WATCH BEN." Mav, what does that mean?
