History of Gungan City

After the blockade and invasion of Naboo by the Trade Federation, and the defense made by the
Gungans and the Naboo, the two peoples began to make peace after years of bitter dislike for
each other. The poeple's began working together openly as part of the government's plan
to get the people to like the idea of each other. One of the joint programs was what the Noobians
have come to call 'Gungan City'. The Gungan name is Otah Naboo. It is a standard Gungan Forcefield Ball city,
but with one exception. It has one massive section full of Noobian Buildings. So massive is this one particular
section, that it required a different forcefield projection system. It has a large emmiter tower in the centre of the City.

In this city Noobians and Gungans live like true siblings. This group of Naboo inhabitants, although friendly and
open to the rest of Naboo, has gained prestige. Named so by themselves, and well known to outsiders as the 'Gai-eem'-'Towst'
clan, after the Gungan and Nubian politcians that founded the city. These people will defend their city at all costs
and repel all invaders. As the locals say: GT PWNS!

CloneWars Story:

The Clone Wars are tearing apart the Republic, and now the CIS moves for Naboo. Althought it has lesser strategic or monetary
value, it is said that Nute Gunray of the Trade Federation had a hand in the decision. A republic fleet was dispatched in the area, and
quickly arrived after news of the attack reached them. The CIS has already landed troops. Many surface dwelling Naboo have fled thier homes and sought refuge in the City.

Luckily the Clone Army's landers arrived at the city before the Droid army reached the area. They were able to assist the Gai'eem-Toast in staging a defense. The CIS army has just destroyed the Republic Forces outside the City, above the surface.Their troops have entered the city and secured the docking ports. It is up to the Clones already in the city to repel them.

Galactic Civil War Story:

Naboo is under Imperial control. A number of Naboo and Gungans including the original Gai'eem-Towst and their descendants live in hiding in the as of yet undiscovered Gungan City/Otah Naboo. The powerfull forcefield tower doubles as a sensor mask that emulates and blends into the sensor readings of the surrounding area. Eventually, the local Imperial leaders found out about the city, and since it was a symbol of hope and a source of resistance, it was orded destroyed, straight from the emperor himnself.

A nearby Star Destroyer was Dispatched to destroy the City. The city was left unharmed by the Orbital Strike, due to the depth of the city and the powerful forcefield generators shielding effects. The Rebels quicky heard of the attack, as the city was in fact a
base of operations for some of their spies. The CRS Defiance was dispatched to deal with the Star Destroyer, while landers
took a battalion of rebel troops to fortify the City. The local Imperial Garrisons were sent to deal with the rebels, and have just
secured the docking ports. . .

BELIEVE me. I TRIED to make it real water with fish in it, but there is no collision mesh for water. I tried to make a dome and put water around it, but it filled the inside of the dome as well. This is what I had to settle for.

Steve

I just had brainstorm. I could make "birds" flying high that looked like fish. But there would be no fish down the sides of the "dome".
hhmmmm.... maybe next map.

hmm - what about giving the background a .GIF format pic...?

or use a 'flipped' dome in XSI as background, and then mybe give it an animated Texture? I think I saw that possibility somewhere in XSI
