SWBF2 multiplayer is shutting down at the end of May. I realize it can likely still be accessed by things like GameRanger, but at that point, the community's gonna be a lot thinner and multiplayer will require more effort than "Launch game, join server." I'm gonna host a server so we can all hang out and play a few games one last time before it fizzles out.

Saturday, May 17th, 2:00-5:00PM CST (19:00-22:00 GMT)

Vanilla game, I don't wanna make everyone download a whole bunch of mods. I'll put a TeamSpeak server up, too, that you guys can connect to, if you want.

Feel free to invite anyone you know that plays or used to play. Only house rule is gonna be to be respectful.

... yes it is a bit too soon. Regarding the server, I'll definitely be there. (and now so will Tiki, seeing that I've finally convinced him to repurchase the game for PC)

I'm not gonna put a password on the SWBF2 server. Anyone's welcome, we might get some randoms, but they'll be fun to shoot at and we can boot em if they're too much of a problem.

Well, I had a lot of fun during my time on the server! Thanks for hosting it. I didn't have a mic, but it was fun listening to everyone rage while I was Force Choking them on Tantive IV with Vader.

fun time guys! I even enjoyed those trolls who joined the server just to spam profanity into the chatbar

Yeah, thanks for tossing it up, Twilight_Warrior. It was nice to get back on the horse for a little bit before the servers as they are shut down.

You said early on that you'd never really played online. I could've sworn I'd played with you in several of the GT mod servers (e.g. DMI). Am I way off?

A couple of times to test assorted mods - DMI, Dark Times, Xavious' 607th(?) map pack, but never the stock game. Dark Times might have been after it had been released...but still, this was the first time playing stock multiplayer.

I'm sad to have missed it, I was asleep at the time after a long day.
