Well, here you go, the next of my epic tales, The Super-Awesome Mega-Cool Crossover Story of DOOM!!

CHAPTER 1

The last thing the Grunt saw was the Master Chief pointing an SMG to his face and a short muzzle flash. The SPARTAN then deftly picked up the blown-out wreckage of a Warthog with his spare hand, spun around 180 degrees, and let it go, bowling over the trio of Elites and half dozen Grunts coming up behind him.
The Master Chief jumped back on top of a pile of wreckage and pulled out a sniper rifle. He made short work of the Covenant troops on the ground before him.
As he was busy pulling off head shots, an Elite crept up a steel girder near him. It hissed and ignited a plasma sword before jumping at him. The Chief sidestepped, knocked it in the back with his sniper rifle and stepped on its head, which burst into a puddle of grey brain and purple blood. Setting down his sniper rifle, he picked up his MA5K, jumped off the pile of rubble, and laid down some suppressing fire has he circled around the Covenant soldiers.
“Watch it, Chief.” Cortana’s voice came over the helmet speakers. “They have reinforcements on the way.”
“I kind of guessed that already.” The Chief answered frankly. He could hear the wild whoops of several squads of Grunts and the high pitched snarls of Jackals off in the distance. Ducking behind the wreckage of another Warthog, he was able to pick off the remaining Grunts right before the reinforcements arrived. Six squads of Grunts, twelve Elites and eight Jackals ran into the clearing.
The sky was briefly lit by a streak of sparkling yellow light that looked much like a cartoon shooting star. The star slammed into the ground in the midst of the Covenant troops and was followed by a large explosion, which was followed by the Grunts’ methane tanks rupturing and exploding. Master Chief looked out from around his cover to see a small creature that was not there before standing there.
It was the strangest creature Chief had ever seen. It was only a couple feet tall, and looked a big pink marshmallow-ball on big red feet. It had no legs to speak of, and its arms were just little nubs on the side of its “body”. Its black eyes were thin and vertical, it had no nose, and its mouth was a tiny slit. It was actually kind of cute.
The Covenant troops stopped in their tracks and stared at the creature. The creature stared back at them, not saying anything. A few Jackals and Elites circled around it, sniffing at it curiously. Then the pink creature did something most unexpected.
It opened its mouth and swallowed a nearby Elite.
The Covenant troops all raised their guns, but the pink creature had already jumped out of their midst. To his amazement, the Master Chief could see that the pink creature was now wearing a visored Elite helmet and now had the signature split jaw. The pink creature seemed confused for a bit, but then he pulled twin plasma rifles out of thin air and began to fire on the Covenant troops.
Master Chief, seeing that this creature was, for at least the moment, his ally, jumped out from his cover, threw a plasma grenade into their midst, and began to circle around them, unloading his assault rifle. He could see that the pink creature was a capable fighter as well, but he did notice that the marshmallow-thing had fired the same two plasma rifles far beyond their battery charge and their overheat rate. Needless to say, the tightly packed group was eliminated quite quickly.
Master Chief walked over to the creature, making sure to step on whatever Covenant corpses were in his way. The creature looked up at him, curiously. Chief noticed that it didn’t have its plasma rifles anymore. The creature stared silently for a few more seconds, before sneezing out a little yellow star, returning to its normal form, and opening its mouth.
The next thing Chief knew was that he was on the ground. Picking himself up, he saw that the creature was now wearing a MJOLNIR Mk V helmet.
“Ooooooooooh!” The creature said, before pulling out an SMG. It tossed it on the ground in front of itself and pulled an assault rifle out of thin air.
“Cortana, what the hell is this thing?” Master Chief said as the creature continued, at an unbelievable rapid pace, continued to pull out various weapons and throwing them into the pile of pistols, shotguns, SPNKrs, assault rifles, sniper rifles, SMGs, frag grenades, plasma grenades, and other various weapons in front of him.
“I’m working on it. Doesn’t match anything in the UNSC databanks, or the Covenant. Biological makeup scans show no match to any known organic compounds. We know already that it breaks every law of physics there is…”
“So you’re telling me you have no idea what it is?”
“I’m stumped, Chief.” She said, pouting.
Master Chief looked at the creature again. Its pile of weapons now had five Warthogs in it and the creature was in the process of setting down a Pelican.
“You have a name?” He asked it. The creature nodded. It at least understood English. But it did not tell him what its name was.
“Hey, Chief, I found something.” Cortanan said. “I’m reviewing its brainwaves from the last minute and a half and found something. When you asked it what its name was, it did answer, but only in its head. I’m running it through my translation software now.”
“And?”
“Kirby. His name is ‘Kirby’. Or he is a ‘Kirby’. He’s a he, anyway.”
“Kirby, huh.” Kirby turned to look at the Chief at the sound of his name. He had just thrown a Scorpion tank into his now massive pile. “So your name’s Kirby, huh?”
“Yeaaa!” He squeaked happily.

Enjoy.

Here's the next chapter.

CHAPTER 2

Master Chief and his newfound comrade Kirby made their way out of the city’s ruins. The Covenant had spent quite a while bombing the forests and eight-lane high ways around it: the entire place was in shambles with big bubbles of melted glass dotted here and there.
Master Chief jumped down from the freeway, smashing the body of a Jackal into jelly. Kirby floated down behind him. The ground around them was littered with bodies. They all seemed to have been killed in a very physical way: armor was splintered, limbs snapped, skulls smashed, blood everywhere. Many were crushed by boulders the size of minivans. But some of the bodies weren’t Covenant. They were giant and lizard-like, like some savage dinosaur from hell. Their armor was crude and rusted, their weapons massive.
“Glad I didn’t have to fight that thing.” He stepped over the torso of one whose legs were about twenty feet away from where they should have been.
A huge commotion from beyond the string of trees in front of them caught Master Chief’s attention. He sprinted through the thin strip of forest, Kirby on his heels, and came out of it on the edge of a shallow, but wide, plantless depression in the ground.
In the center of the depression was a small figure, a human girl, in combat with a pair of Hunters and surrounded by corpses. The blue beasts circled her cautiously. The girl didn’t move.
One of the Hunters lunged at the girl with its shield. She dug her feet into the ground and stopped the shield with her bare hands, her fingers buried to the knuckles in the metal. The second Hunter sprung at her from behind. She shifted her foot an inch and the Hunter was hoisted high, its vulnerable midsection impaled upon a spike of earth, orange blood and slimy Lekgolo eels dripping out into a puddle on the ground.
The girl tore the shield of the first Hunter in two as if she were ripping apart tin foil. Then she grabbed the cold blue metal of its rounded body armor. In one movement, she crushed the Hunter like it was a can of soda. Master Chief, amazed at what he had just seen, slid down the small slope and approached the girl.
She was short and youngish, probably only twelve or thirteen. She was clad in a green and yellow tunic, and was noticeably barefoot. Her black hair was tied up in a large bun, secured by a headband with small white pom poms on either end. Her bangs, however, hung so long that they almost blocked her eyes. Not that it would have mattered, for her green eyes were covered in a pale white film. She was completely blind.
Master Chief took a step in her direction. The girl stomped the ground and punched the bus-sized boulder that had torn itself up from the earth. The great rock plowed over the Chief, hitting him like, well, roughly two tons of rock. The SPARTAN skipped and skidded across the ground, limbs flapping like a rag doll.
He coughed, blood spewing from his mouth and spattering the inside of his helmet. Looking up from his position prone on his back he could see another huge boulder poised above him.
“No…plea…”he managed to say before he was smashed with it. Even in half a ton of MJOLNIR armor and with bones like steel, it hurt. Bad.
The boulder lifted off of him. Through his cracked face plate he saw the girl at his feet, holding the boulder over his head with her geokinesis, ready for another blow.
“Stop…please…” he groaned. A look of surprise came over the girl’s face. She moved the boulder away from the Master Chief and launched it harmlessly off to the side. The Master Chief felt the ground rise up underneath him and the next thing he knew was that he was standing upright.
“You’ve got a couple broken ribs, mild internal bleeding and organ bruising, and surface cuts from your armor crumpling in on you.” Cortana said. The Master Chief grunted and pulled out a small container of biofoam and injected it into the small tube on his chest plate.
“Sorry about that.” The girl said to him. “I thought you were one of these guys. Your vibration signature was almost exactly the same.”
“How the hell did you do that? With the Hunters? Who the hell are you anyway?”
“My name’s Toph.” She said simply.
“What?”
“Toph, Toph Bei Fong, the Blind Bandit, the best earthbender in the world, y’know? Don’t they have bending from where you’re from?”
“Bending… so that’s what you did to all those Covenant?”
“You really aren’t that bright, now are you…”
“Master Chief Petty Officer John-117.”
“Weird. And what’s that thing?” She pointed at Kirby, who had come down from the tree line only moments before.
“That’s Kirby.”
“You have some really strange names around here, you know that? What are you doing stomping around the woods in all that armor anyway?”
“I’m on my way to a UNSC bunker a few miles south from here. But I should be asking you what you’re doing fighting Covenant out here in the woods.”
“I might be blind, I might be twelve, and I might be a girl, but I’m not helpless. You on the other hand, seem like you need an escort to wherever it is you’re going, Chief. I got nothing better to do, so I guess I’ll tag along with you.”
“Humph. I’m the only one who can talk to you like that.” Cortana grumbled in the Chief’s ear.

I promise, she's the only character from Avatar in this thing.
Enjoy, and have a very merry Christmas.

Hey, nobody posted  Whatever, next chapter!

CHAPTER 3

Cloud Strife slid down the massive tree branch and launched himself off, just missing the boomshot round that had been fired at him. With a swing of his Buster Sword he cleaved the Locust in two. Whirling around, he impaled one coming up from the rear and smashed the corpse over the head of a Jackal.
Cloud looked up to see a pair of Elites jumping from the trees above him. One he lit up with a blast of firaga, the other he swung at with his blade. But the Elite’s plasma sword, though it did not slice through his magic infused Buster Sword, ignited quick enough to block the strike. Cloud began to hammer away at the Elite, blasts of magic arcing from his sword. The Elite held out for a few seconds before he, like his fellows, was rent in two. Cloud bent down and inspected the body. This was a mistake, as the Elite who should have been burned to a crisp had survived, cloaked, and was standing ready behind the SOLDIER.
Cloud whipped his head around to see a soot-blackened Elite de-cloak and swing its ignited plasma sword. The Elite stopped in mid-swing, however, a sword poking through its back and chest. The Covenant soldier dropped to the ground, and Cloud got a look at who had killed it.
It was a sandy-haired young man wearing a green tunic and odd conical hat. A long sword covered in purple Elite blood with an intricate blue hilt was in his gloved hand.
“Thanks for the save.” The stranger nodded, but said nothing. Cloud was now confused.
“What, can’t you talk?”
“Nah, he just never chooses to.” A voice said in his head. From the man’s shadow jumped a little imp who floated around his shoulders. She, and Cloud was quite sure it was a she, was about two feet tall, with smooth black and white skin with glowing blue markings on the arms and legs, ethereal orange hair, and an ancient looking helmet that probably weighed more that she did on her head. Though Cloud could understand her perfectly in his head, his ears only heard rapid gibberish.
“And you are?”
“Name’s Midna.” The imp said. “This is Link.” She motioned to the green-clad man. “That’s about all there is to him. He never talks, so he really isn’t that interesting.”
“Hmm. Well, thank you, Link.” Cloud turned to leave. “You want to come along? There’s always room for another sword hand.” Link nodded in agreement.
“*sigh* You adventuring types. Always going on and on about your swords and the half-dozen princesses you’ve rescued in the past week. If you’re going to disturb me there better be a good reason.” She jumped back into Link’s shadow.

Enjoy.

glad all you guys like the story! :D
Oh, as a note, if you think Toph was overpowered in Chapter 2, and killing two Hunters with her bare hands would definately make you think that, I assure you that I was working within her limits. Physically, she is no stronger than your average physically active 12-year old. But her unique form of blind, vibration-sensing earthbending allows here to find the traces of minerals in metals. Hunter armor, though alien, is probably metal, so therefore will have traces of its original ore form in it, which will allow Toph to crumple it like paper. Just wanted to clear this up.

Yays! Next chapter!

CHAPTER 4

Smoke rising from a bunker is never a good sign. But that was what the Master Chief and Kirby, not Toph because she’s blind, were looking at. The bunker had a huge hole blasted into it, with plumes of acrid black smoke pouring out of it. UNSC Marines were scattered around the breach, all of them dead.
The Master Chief quietly reloaded his assault rifle. This was a close quarters situation. Next to him Kirby did the same.
“Hey, Chief.” Toph asked the Chief, not turning her head to face him. “Is it metal or rock in there?”
“Uh…it’s steel and concrete.”
“Eh, good enough.”
The trio quietly made their way to the bunker’s facade. It was deathly quiet.
Master Chief jumped through the breach. Kirby and Toph followed him. The soot-blackened, rubble-filled hall was strewn with bodies.
The hallway made a sharp left turn before it exited in one of the bunkhouses. The cots were all knocked over, some with dead marines still in their sleep-ware slumped over them.
“Chief, go over to that one.” Cortana pointed him to a marine whose HUD was still active. “Hook me up.” Master Chief inserted the AI chip into the dead soldier’s helmet for a second and then pulled it out and reinserted it into his own.
“Here’s the video feed from his HUD, recorded at 13:24.”
The Chief’s HUD switched to video-playing mode as he watched it from that soldier’s eyes.
“Diet Dr. Pepper! They broke through the barricade!” The soldier yelled as he laid down some suppressing fire on the dino-from-hell that had smashed its way through the mess-hall tables that had been shoved up against the door.
“Fall back to the Delta Barracks! We can hold off these Locusts from there!” a commander out of the helmet-cam’s vision yelled. The soldier turned around and ran through a door at the end of the hall. The video feed bounced around wildly, the soldier’s panting drowning out the gunfire. He ran into the barracks they were in now and grabbed a sniper rifle, turned around, and downed a Locust who was coming through the breach in the barricade in the next room. The radar showed three other snipers in the room with him.
An insect-like screech shrieked over the speakers. The soldier turned around to see a bipedal insectoid thing with a huge blade on one of its forearms in the doorway. Its carapace was mottled orange and blue, its eyes were compound, and its jaw was split, much like an Elite’s.
“What the HELL?” The soldier screamed before he shot it with his rifle. Within a second four more had jumped into the room. There were a few flashes of purple before the screen burst into static and went black.
//:Video feed…lost
“Hmmm. There’s nothing in the Covenant databanks to suggest a unit called a “Locust” or one of those bug things.” Cortana mused. “This is bad. The Covenant must have joined forces with the Locust, if that’s what they’re called, and what ever the hell that other thing was. And they must have really wanted to clear out this bunker personally.”
“I’ll take your word for it.” Master Chief began to go into the mess hall.
An ear-splitting shriek rang out. Chief turned around to see another one of the bug-things crouched in a dim corner on top of one of the remaining erect bunks, blade extended. The thing jumped at the Master Chief, but only got half way before a pillar of concrete flew up and smashed it against the ceiling, splattering its remains all over the room. After a second, Master Chief wiped the innards off his visor and moved on.
“Gee, thanks for saving my life, Toph. Don’t mention it, Chief.” Toph said condescendingly before moving on.
The mess hall was, unlike the rest of the place, quite clear. All rubble and bodies had been moved to the walls. In the center was a shallow pit that had been dug through the floor. At the bottom of the pit was a circular lift elevator. In the middle of it was an orange hologram of a flat disk and an arrow pointing down. Master Chief, Kirby, and Toph jumped down into the pit and onto the lift. It didn’t move.
“You’re supposed to step into the hologram.” Cortana instructed. Master Chief did as she said. The lift hummed to life and began to sink.
The lift dropped down for at least a minute. The only light the fluorescent ones built into the sides of the tube at regular intervals.
The lift stopped in the corner of a large room. The trio walked off and looked around at their surroundings.
The room was lined with tubes and pipes filled with a glowing blue liquid. Glowing computer consoles dotted the floor. The lights were on, but few, making the room rather dark and gloomy. It was definitely not made by the UNSC or the Covenant: It was much more…practical. Ordinary. Not a military facility. On the far side of the room was a large glass window looking out on a gigantic pit with numerous caves leading off in all directions and many other such rooms on the sides. Robotic mining equipment was hard at work in the pit, harvesting the same glowing blue substance that was in the pipes. In the center of the room was a thick column with dozens of flashing holographic symbols on it and ringed by more computer screens. A figure that was not Covenant, Locust, or bug stood with its back to the trio, inspecting a computer screen.
The figure turned around. Who, or whatever it was, was clad in a sleek orange, yellow and red suit of armor. The shoulder protectors were large and spherical, the helmet with a green visor. The right arm was converted into a silver cannon, which was now pointed right at the trio. Master Chief and Kirby raised their guns, Toph threw herself into a ready stance.
After about a half-minute of staring down the trio, the figure lowered its arm cannon. Reaching up with its other hand, it pressed a button on the side of its red helmet.
The figure was a young human woman, with slender features and long blonde hair that hung to her shoulders. The trio relaxed and lowered their weapons.
“Good to see some live humans again.” She said. “And whatever that thing is.” She pointed at Kirby. “Everybody upstairs was dead when I got here.”
“And why exactly are you here?” Master Chief asked.
“Oh, I’ve been tracking a certain Space Pirate fleet for months now. It seems that this place is one of their old phazon mines and they came back to claim it.” She shook her head sadly. “The guys who built the base up there had no idea that one of the largest phazon mines anywhere was right below their feet. Would’ve helped them if they did. The old slug-throwers they used could’ve been quite effective if they had phazon payloads. They might not have all died if they had.”
“So what attacked the base?” Toph asked.
“Space Pirates. Seems they’ve teamed up with a few new friends. From what I’ve scanned off the bodies up there, they’re called the Covenant and the Locust Horde. Seems that they’re supplying a good load of phazon to the Covenant, and I guess that the Horde is just along for the ride.”
“So, are gonna go smash some heads or just stand here talking all day?” Toph butted in. The woman laughed.
“My opinion exactly.” Her helmet reappeared. “My name’s Samus Aran, by the way.”
“Toph Bei Fong.”
“Master Chief Petty Officer John-117. And that’s Kirby.”
The creature in question walked up to Samus, sneezed out another one of those yellow stars, and swallowed the bounty hunter. Samus picked herself up off the floor and looked at the pink thing who was now wearing an oversized version of her red helmet.
“You’re a weird little creature, you know that?” She said, unable to hold in a chuckle.

Enjoy.

Happy new year, everybody! Here's the next chapter!

CHAPTER 5

Cloud and Link walked out of the forest and onto a small cliff. Before them was a huge excavation site, in the middle of which were clusters of buildings. They were too modern looking to be ruins, and the dig hadn’t been going on for that long, as the air was thick with the smell of freshly-turned earth. The machinery was also strange-looking. Cloud was positive it wasn’t human-made. And of course, humans couldn’t under any circumstances do this much in a matter of hours.
The pair of warriors cautiously made their way down the cliff and over to the excavation site. It was deserted: all the machinery was automated.
The door on the closest building opened up. Out of it stepped a pair of orange and blue insectoid creatures. They seemed to be arguing with each other over something, and did not notice the pair of adventurers who had taken cover behind a cargo container just a few yards away. As their voices faded into the distance, Cloud and Link walked over to the door. Link swung his sword at it: the blade bounced off harmlessly. Cloud shot a little blast of magic out of the end of his blade: the field disappeared and the door opened. The pair ducked through into the unknown beyond.

Samus led the Master Cheif, Kirby, and Toph through the bowels of the mining facility. Much of it was still automated, and Space Pirates, Covenant, and Locust were few and far between. Of course, those that they did meet were eliminated, as Master Chief put it “with extreme prejudice”. The ragtag group goal was this: find the main control room, hack the system, extract information, find the main generator or processing plant, and blow the place up. Hopefully they could find a way to eliminate the combined Covenant/Locust/Pirate threat.
The main control room was much like the room where they had met Samus, except much larger, and much more populated. Nearly every control console was manned by a Space Pirate, some of which were Commandos. And each one of those pirates had their multiple-refracting eyes on the foursome who had just blundered through their door.
“Oh crap.” Toph said, summing up what all the heroes were thinking. Every Space Pirate in the room pulled out a gun and opened fire.
Master Chief ducked behind a pile of conveniently placed crates. Cursing to himself about his quickly draining ammo reserves, he took aim and dropped a Pirate from his hiding spot. Samus and Kirby had both taken cover behind another pile of crates only a few feet away from the Master Chief. Both were flooding the battlefield with yellow energy shots and racking up kills like it was going out of style. Toph had pulled up a metal barrier from the floor and was nonchalantly picking pirates off with a well-aimed spike to the chest while she was safe inside her little tent.
An insect screech met the Master Chief’s ears. Looking up, he saw a Space Pirate with gun drawn on the crates above him. Acting fast, the Chief tore the gun from its hands and killed it with its own weapon. By the time he had wiped the blood off his visor, the battle was over. All the pirates were either dead or near dead. The entire room was covered in layer upon layer of blast burns and bullet holes.
“Well, that went nicely.” Samus said as she stood up and began hacking one of the few still-operational computers. Master Chief walked over and inserted Cortana’s AI chip into the machine.
“Humph. Child’s play.” Corata’s face, which had appeared on the monitor, said. “I’ve set the central power generator to overheat in 0030 hours. In addition, the pirates have another base approximately thirty point two-two-seven miles southwest of out current position. I say we head there and rough ‘em up.” Master Chief removed her chip. Toph made an exaggerated yawn.
“So we finally get to do something fun? This has been soooooo boring.” She said with mock boredom. ”Oh, yeah, there are two guys coming down that hall. Human, by the feel of them.”
And ten seconds later she was proved correct. Standing there were two men, one with spiky blonde hair, black clothes, and a massive sword on his back, the other a sandy-haired man in a green tunic and coned cap.
“Looks like you already cleared this place out for us.” The blonde man said flatly. “Don’t suppose you have room in your little group of ragtag adventurers for two sword-hands with nothing to do?”
“As a matter of fact, we do.” Samus answered him. Master Chief nodded in agreement.
“I don’t suppose you two have names?”
“Cloud Strife. And Link.” He jabbed his thumb at the other man. “He doesn’t talk much.”
“And you forget to introduce me?” A little impish thing jumped up from Link’s shadow. “What Cloud was about to say was that I’m Midna. Right, Cloud?”
“Yeah, whatever.”

Enjoy.

Here you go, the next chapter. It's a tad short, but good nonetheless.

CHAPTER 6

“Couldn’t you have brought a bigger ship?” Toph grumbled from her awkward position in the back of Samus’s starship.
“I’m a bounty hunter! I do all my work solo! You should be thankful, too! Master Chief had to ride on the roof and Kirby is in the glove compartment!”
Kirby made a few muffled noises in agreement. Though Toph was blind, she understood the concept of rolling ones eyes and was doing so now.
“Whatever. Are we there yet?”
“You are really beginning to wear on my patience.” Cloud growled.
“Stop bickering.” Master Chief’s voice came over the speakers. “and, yes, we are here already, Toph.”
Out the front veiwscreen the heroes could see a large facility spread out across a plateau. The central buildings were Spcae Pirate in make, the outlying ones Covenant or Locust. Tall smokestacks belched plumes of plasma mist and steam. Pirate and Covenant turrets ringed the facility at regular intervals. And now every single one of them was trained on Samus’s ship.
The bounty hunter weaved her way through the energy blasts like the pro she was, dodging certain-death, straight-at-the-ship blasts multiple times.
“I’m going to bring us down on that pad over there!” She motioned with her head towards a flat area with several Ghosts parked in it.
The ship shook with a tremendous force as alarm klaxons began to blare.
“What happened?!” Toph yelled.
“We took a shot to the engines! I can’t land us! Get ready, people!”
The ship hurtled towards the imposing bluish-purple metal of a covenant building.

Enjoy.

Next chapter. It's another short one...I haven't been working on it a lot lately.

CHAPTER 7

Bunga Bingabbi approached the strange ship cautiously. It was not Covenant, nor was it Locust or Pirate. It looked much like a junggoffi beetle from his homeworld, though this ship was orange instead of mottled purple. Shoving memories of home away, the Grunt waddled up to the smoldering wreckage. He climbed up through the broken veiwscreen into the one-person cockpit. There were no bodies, oddly enough. Bunga looked around for any sign of something he could steal, maybe a formaldehyde packet or a new ammonia filter. Spotting a little compartment under the control console that must have wonderful treasure in it; he walked over and pulled it open. A marshmellowy pink blob popped out and gave a cheerful “Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!!!!!!!” before swallowing Bunga whole.

“Nice job, Kirby.” Samus inspected the Grunt corpse that now had a huge Needler spike jutting from its skull. “That’s one alien who won’t be alerting high command of our presence anytime soon.”
“But, uh, aren’t we supposed to be storming through the base, killing everything that moves?” Toph mused.
“We’re getting to that.” Master Chief said as he inserted Cortana’s chip into a nearby computer console.
“This is odd…there are all these references to a “Prophet of Doom” here…that’s really strange.” She said, slightly confused. “Seems that his throne room is here…I’ll upload it. I’ll beam it your HUD as well, Samus.”
The Chief removed the chip just in time to hear a loud Jiralhanae curse from the entrance to the storage room the ship had crashed in. The Brute took about three lumbering steps before Cloud promptly sliced off its legs and Link stabbed it in the head.
“Yeah, well, it looks like we’ll be busy on the way there.” Cloud grunted as he shook the blood of his sword.

Next chapter. I apologize for all the short chapters I've been posting lately.

CHAPTER 8

Master Chief unloaded on the giant Locust before him with a Space Pirate Rifle and a Plasma Pistol. The beast managed to turn around before it was fried to a crisp. A trio of Grunts crawled over the corpse only to be shot down by a rain of Needler shards and one very large chunk of metal. Behind the Chief, Link, Samus, and Cloud were busy fighting off a Brute Chieftain with a gravity hammer. Samus took a hit right to the chest and flew straight across the hangar they were passing through. Link sidestepped the hammer, transformed into a grey wolf, leapt up on the Brute and started biting out its neck while Cloud delivered the final blow to the gut.
More shots rang out as a dozen Space Pirates, a squad of Grunts, and a very ticked off Locust with a Boomshot entered the hanger. The heroes took cover behind the Space Pirate transport ships that were parked there. Not that it would do any good, because one round from the Boomer could turn any one of the ships into a blazing fireball.
Kirby was actually the first to act, jumping into the open and waving his stumpy arms.
“Bafama munga hu hu dajo qipa!” He yelled at the enemies, which, when translated from Uggnoy, roughly means “Your mothers were bafama slugs!” This, of course, greatly angered them, and so everyone turn their gun on the small pink creature.
Using the distraction to their advantage, the other heroes struck. Master Chief picked up one of the Space Pirate drop ships and threw it at the group, Samus fired a pair of super missiles into their midst, Cloud and Link charged in, swords drawn, and Toph launched a large piece of piping at them. Needless to say, they did not last very long.
“Okay people.” Samus addressed them. “We got one more room to go before the throne room.”
“Be ready for the honor guard.” Master Chief added. “There could be hundreds in there.”
“Fine by me.” Toph said.
The group of heroes walked over to the exit on the far side of the hangar. It was a large set of blast doors, probably four layers thick. Toph walked up to them, set her ear to it and tapped it with her knuckles. Smiling, she stepped back, cracked her knuckles loudly, punched both fists into the blast doors, and tore them in two. The heroes entered the breach.

Enjoy.
