In Battlefront 1, the Hailfire's treads actually go in reverse of the way you're going.

Maybe it is just that effect that you see, can't remember what it's called.

Like that illusion when you see a wheel spinning very fast, and then suddenly it (the spokes, usually) appear to be spinning the other way? :)

Actually, I haven't noticed that on the Hailfire, though! :P

Yeah I think i know what you mean. I was thinking the other day about how everyone says that battlefront dosn't support wheeled vehicles, well what about the hailfire?

If SWBF can't really handle wheeled vehicles, then a texture animation may have been used on the Hailfire Droid's wheels...

Exaclty, Leviathan. Fred told me treaded (wheeled) vehicles are just hovers that allow for animated textures and suspension parts.

I've never seen this happen! Was it a modified hailfire droid or the regular (I'm assuming you mean the stock hailfire)?

Contrary to what we could think, a rolling animation is not that easy to implement in a game. Indeed, you need to animate a wheel (Which can be considered as a disc), and so, many points are moved at the same time, on different trajectories. In that case, I think it is useless to precise that such a movement would require much resource, especially when there's not only one wheel on a vehicle, and that this one is not alone on the battle-field !...
