How can I skin so All my textures are in one .tga file and not 7 (Like my snowman)?
and
How can I skin an object (Like a unit) without having to make sure all the faces are selected?

Have a look at THIS thread.
You'll need to create a complete set of UVs on a single UV map.

FYI, In the 3d world skinning means the same as enveloping

Well I was taught to envelope by selecting the faces of the poly you wanted to be enveloped. But If i wanted to envelope a unit like a Battle droid, it would be difficult to select every single face on the complex model.

To define a skin, you needn't select it's faces, just select the model.

Now you got me really confused
Are you trying to envelope a mesh to a skeleton? Or are you trying to texture parts of a character model? :|

I'm trying to put the grievous skin on the grievous model I imported into XSI.

That means the model's already got UV coordinates, so all you do is apply a material with the greivous texture onto the model.
