That's probably an artifact of the .tga you used, whether it "looked like that" or not in the image editor. I would suggest converting your .tga to .jpeg and then reconverting back to .tga - that should remove any "hidden" artifacts.

yea im still encountering this problem...
although, when i added it manually i had no problems with the image. (on a diff. map)
EDIT: okay i fixed it, heres a chat i had with da_great_ghost on what to do to fix it:
Hidden/Spoiler:
[18:29] obibobachristmastreepio: did u get rid of dots?
[18:30] da_great_christmas_ghost: no thats my q
[18:30] da_great_christmas_ghost: how do you get rid of them
[18:30] obibobachristmastreepio: im assuming u already used the utility
[18:30] da_great_christmas_ghost: yep
[18:30] obibobachristmastreepio: u gotta delete from data_abc/lvlpc the entire load folder
[18:30] obibobachristmastreepio: and go into the data_abc/load
[18:31] obibobachristmastreepio: and open the common.req or whatever
[18:31] obibobachristmastreepio: delet all lines begninning with #
[18:31] da_great_christmas_ghost: ok
[18:31] obibobachristmastreepio: then delete ur tga from the load folder
[18:31] da_great_christmas_ghost: i deleted all lines begninning with #
[18:31] obibobachristmastreepio: k
[18:32] obibobachristmastreepio: but make sure u have anohter
[18:32] da_great_christmas_ghost: not loadscreen but my tga
[18:32] da_great_christmas_ghost: or wait
[18:32] obibobachristmastreepio: basically put ur loadscreen back into the load folderm(this comes from mav's suggestion)
[18:32] obibobachristmastreepio: replace it with itself
[18:32] da_great_christmas_ghost: there is only loadscreen.tga
[18:32] da_great_christmas_ghost: so delete it and put it back
[18:32] obibobachristmastreepio: yea
[18:33] da_great_christmas_ghost: kk
[18:33] obibobachristmastreepio: then
[18:33] obibobachristmastreepio: delete load from the swbf map folder
[18:33] obibobachristmastreepio: then munge agin
[18:33] da_great_christmas_ghost: wait
[18:33] da_great_christmas_ghost: so in addon or what
[18:35] da_great_christmas_ghost: or C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData\addon\***\data\_LVL_PC\Load
[18:39] obibobachristmastreepio: in addon
[18:39] da_great_christmas_ghost: ok
