is there an easy way to move the capital ships in space maps. the link in the everything you need threed in dead and i just cant understand the language.

It does appear that the "Tools to add capital ships quickly" link has finally died, i'm sure someone here has a copy of those files and can upload them somewhere.
But in the meantime you can just do this:

First get directly above the capital ship so that it fits your screen,
then using multiselect hold shift + left click, drag a box around the ship.
All selected items can be raised or lowered or moved side to side as 1 unit, with "C".
Rotate a group using "Z".
You can also save the multi selected items as a group, so you can easily load them again, by clicking "Save object group".
