Are you, by any chance, using Windows Vista?

Try putting lighting on medium. For some reason water maps on my cpu crash unless lighting is on medium and not high or low.

Re: Mod maps with water crash
I'm not sure why that happens. It happened on a laptop I was using once. I think some computers just can't handle water very well. I suggest setting all your settings to low and making the unit count low as well before playing. Also please try to refrain for double posting if possible. It's generally frowned upon in this establishment.

Go to control panel. From there get to System and Security, and then to system. Tell us all the info on that screen.

Clicking the hardware tab might be useful too. Right now I'm doing some research with what you've shown me.

I can tell you right now that your processor is the problem. See, you've got an Intel Pentium 1.73 GHz Single-Core processor, which cannot handle a whole lot such as things like water when it's having to process a bunch of other entities at the same time.

It might not the the only issue. I have a similar, but slightly slower, processor in one computer, and it used to run any of the stock maps. I don't use it any more because it's so slow, but it worked.

This.
It's probably your graphics card. Windows + R to bring up the Run Window in the lower left of your screen. In it type dxdiag, then run. It will bring up the Direct X Diagnostic window. Should look like this(specs will be different of course),

Just install this: http://starwarsbattlefront.filefront.co ... Fix;107405
I think I've seen other maps have the water taken out, but if not it would be a good little project for somebody.

THEWULFMAN is right, it's probably your graphics card. I don't think there's anything you can do, except trying older/newer drivers...
