Off-topic : Honestly speaking, the Internal Components you might possibly order within the months to come and being listed previously are way far from being that Obsolete and inappreciable, which means you should not face too many problems while attempting to take advantage out of them for playing non-demanding Entertainment Softwares like Star Wars Battlefront II, for sample. On the other hand, such Retail Parts may not be able to optimize the executing of Specialized Programs requiring a consequent Amount of Available Resources, such as Avid / Softimage|XSI Designs, amongst other comparable ones...

Off-topic : Alright, in that case, I guess the Personal Computer you have virtually assembled so far might fit such Uses, although the current Technical Specifications could not suffice in order to enjoy Entertainment Softwares being about to be released. On the other hand, if you accept such Compromises, then the concerned Microsoft® Windows Platform should be eventually worth the purchase, especially thanks to the fact you might consider ordering an INTEL® Core 2 Duo Product once you will have obtained it and gathered additional Financial Resources...

Off-topic : Of course not, and since I have never that trusted most of the Informations supplied by Online Stores comparable to the one you have apparently picked up amongst a lot of others, I usually prefer having a look at those provided on the web-site affiliated towards the Manufacturer(s) of the concerned Products. However, rather amazingly, even the Section having been dedicated to the aimed MSI® Graphics Card - And easily accessible thanks to this web-address - does not deliver the sought Datas, which does not obviously mean that this Design is eventually as much performant as a Crushed one...

Off-topic : First of all, make sure that your lastly-phrased Report of Internal Components you might order within the times to come is Definitive before attempting to persuade someone into letting you act as you would want whereas you aren't that totally certain about your further Purchases. Next, prior to the most important Step of a brand-new Personal Computer's Obtaining, I wouldn't mind learning a little more about your Entourage, and especially concerning one of the rarest person deciding whether you can proceed to such Decisions or not, that's to say your Male Genitor...

Oh sorry, i didn't make it clear. What i plan to do is simply replace those components in my current machine using what case, power supply and drives i already have. If i need a new case i will buy one when i know the size of the motherboard is too big and looking at the sites connected to the concerned motherboard i can find no details of whether it is bigger than my current one so i will have to wait till then however there is no point unless i can convince my dad to let me purchase these components.
As to my situation; i think my parents, especially my mother think i spend way too much time on my computer but she is not in as much power as my father because i guess he reigns dominance over her in his pursuasive talk however she would certainly cause an effect on him in letting me do certain things, such as the purchasing of things that "i don't really need".
The main reasons for me wanting these components is pretty simple and you may have already guessed it (i probabily told you also): a high performing system that is enjoyable to play games and watch films on. A media computer. As i live in a largely rural area with a sparse population there is not much i can do with other people my age, such as sports and recreation. The fact that the one person i make contact with outside of school hours also enjoys playing computer games and watching great films means that we both want great graphics and sound...etc.
That is something to think about for now plus i can't continue writing in this similiar style to you much longer...

Off-topic : All these Precise Details are at the very least interesting and Informative, but it seems I actually need even more Informations regarding your Family and the around Population in order to figure out what may be the possible Options offered to you : Therefore, may I know what the current and past Employments of both your tow Genitors are, additionally to their respective Political Affiliations ? Above all, would you mind submitting me as many Datas as possible about the persons located near the Construction you're living in, like ones comparable to those I have requested through my previous Question ?

Of course, feel free to keep these Informations under silence, since I have not registered onto GameToast Message-Board so as to disturb and lead towards unexpected Behavior other persons attending this Location, but above all to provide as many Advices and Answers to these same Users without planning at any time on affecting them...

HELP ME CHECK COMPATIBILITY!!
Help Me Check Compatibility!!!
As the list of components for my computer grows i think i'm going to have some compatibility issues. Could you all check to see if there's something i've missed.
Motherboard: Manufacturer-Retailer-Chipset
CPU: Manufacturer-Retailer
CPU Fan: Manufacturer-Retailer
Memory: Manufacturer-Retailer
Graphics Card: Manufacturer-Retailer
Case: Retailer
I also already have a 80GB PATA Hard Drive, a PATA CD-RW/DVD-ROM Drive and a PATA Floppy Drive.
Thanks

RE: HELP ME CHECK COMPATIBILITY!!
Is this going to include an OS, or are you goin to salvage the old one as a boot drive? The disadvantage to that is the restore disk will no longer work (restore disks usually checks the MB to see if it is the manufacture's computer). If not, you need to add the price of an OEM version of the windows of your choice. Usually you can get it if you purchase any hardware, but as far as pricing, I'm not sure (got mine for $20 from my university tech store).

RE: HELP ME CHECK COMPATIBILITY!!
Diet Dr. Pepper, that's annoying. So i can keep my current XP on my current drive, but i can't use the reinstall disk once i change computers but that shouldn't be a problem if i reinstall it before i switch and then when vista comes out i can buy that and then i will have a disk because i bought it on it's own not with a premade computer.
