Online mods

Post by CommanderCody212 »

Hello every one, I would first like to say that I am new here so please forgive me if I ask to many stupid questions, and if I do something dumb.

Ok so, can you play mods online if someone else has them too?
Because I want to mod by adding some units and weapons.

Getting mods to work online can be tricky. However, as long as there is no random stuff, and both people have the mod installed, it can be played online, afaik

Well, Certain mods that only change visual things almost always work. By visual I mean weapon models, unit models, effects, that kind of thing. However, when you change unit, or weapon properties, both people have to have the mod to play it online. I am not an expert on this.

Don't confuse the issue - look at what the original poster asked:
Ok so, can you play mods online if someone else has them too?
...and the answer to that is "yes." As long as everyone in a server has the mod being played, there shouldn't be any problems.

Well I have not played in a long time, but I am hoping playing mods will spark them to play again.
I just found out about mods.
Which ones are good?

I like to play RENDSCORUS maps.
