The new kamino and bonta eve maps, not so good

Post by Guest »

well lets start wit the kamino maps

1 the clones get stuck in the center to often, the map s a tad to big, even for my tastes

2maps too big

it jst doesnt give me that good delel when i play it

boontaev as a majoer downer for me

i felt alone

the bots were to stupid to do anything

if u download your map, u better mainly play online cause the bots reallty suck

the sarlac LOL, u can go in it, all the wy to the bottem and blow yourself out of it LOL

i was amazed of the briliant cannyon feel, it felt jt like u were in a real canyn, and if u take a ship to thetop, the feel that your looing into a real cannyon is really nic

the pintguns, nice idea but all they r are yellow and red bolts, need to make them a cricle or have splach effects

bots jst stand round

nice idea, but the bots and the lack of a challenge takes this map to a ten to a 5

improve the bots!!!!

Well the Tatooine map was definatly designed for playing around. Althought it would be nice to race bots I could still care less. Usually im playing it with a few friends and its a complete blast. I think the map was definatly meant more as a Stunt map for single player and a race/stunt/paintball map for Multiplayer. So I don't mind the bots at all and I don't even think they should be there. There should be tons of tuskens though.

.....This topic is becoming more and more pointless by the second...

I personally like Kamino. I give my reasons why in the topic dedicated to that map. So if you are going to review a map, I would think it would make sense to do it in the topic for that map. They are there for feedback after all.

Maybe I'm insane....

Don't worry; relatively speaking he's a minor nuisance. Go on the Battlefront 2, PC section of the Lucasarts boards sometime- you could have done a lot worse

About Tatooine: Boonta Eve...

I agree, the bots/AI are appaulingly crap, but i feel i have done the best i could do. The race course has planning and boundaries, yet there is no way to tell the AI to slow down, so most die after a few corners. They also dismount before the scarlacc pit for some reason which i cant fix.
I cannot expain the lack of AI movement in the paintball arena. Again, it was easy to add paths and barriers, and some bots get to the other CP, but for reasons i can not explain, most dont. May be if i can fix this i will release a singleplayer friendly version. And this map was intended for multiplayer play, as of request of Arma for his clan TPR to play in, and AI planning was really an afterthought. Perhaps i should've mentioned that.
