WIP: TCW Style B2 Super Battle Droid
So I'm modeling the TCW B2. Only have the hand done so far. I'll likely finish the model in the next couple weeks. Figure I'd show the progress as I go.
A couple of my references.
The hand. It clocks in at 262 tri, which puts the model at 524 when you duplicate the hand. I'm shooting for 4000 or so tri. The hand still has a couple tri I can shave off.
A couple of my references.

Did he? I can't remember. My brain automatically purges things after 3 months unless it pertains to exceedingly specific things.
I know ForceMaster released his unenveloped TCW B2, but I didn't quite like it for some reason.

Might I suggest changing the joints in the hand to four sided or five sided cylinders as well? Just more optimization for something that won't be given much attention by the player, is all. That, and the hand isn't necessarily large enough to call for that much detail.
But it does look like a very faithful and dare I say "handy" recreation. Good work, WULF.

Looks like a really good start.
Out of curiosity, what made you decide to start with the hands as opposed to the main body?

If it's clear that I'm going to go above and beyond my limit, I'll revisit the hand with your suggestions. The Nasal Abyss wrote:Might I suggest changing the joints in the hand to four sided or five sided cylinders as well? Wonderful work on these hand and forearms. The funny part would probably to texture everything
