Empty TGA files in the assets.

Post by Lysia_Keyes »

Back again, yet another modding problem that has stopped me in my tracks. When skinning, the majority of the tga's within the assets are absolutely fine, but a problematic amount are... empty. Blank. Unuseable. For example:

Any ideas, helpful people?

Thanks for the reply, I forgot to mention that I was using Photoshop and was wondering if there was any way to do this without downloading GIMP, though if not I'll just have to use it.

Thanks for the quick reply.

It's likely the TGA plugin for Photoshop that's causing the problem. It looks like it's blending the alpha channel in with the main texture. What version of PS do you use?

Did you check if the alpha channel still exists? If it exists as shown in the picture make sure that it's hidden(no eye icon).

The problem is that certain versions of PNG and TGA plugins will merge the alpha channel in, which is what you're seeing. (It's happened to me before)
