*WIP* Geonosis: Last Stand

Well, of course I made a Geonosis map as my first one since SWBFI.

Story:
The Battle of Geonosis is nearing a close. Most CIS ships have either taken off into space, or been destroyed. Now the Republic must begin the cleanup job. Small pockets of Confederate resistance still fight on all over the planet, but the CIS is massing in one location, preparing to make a last stand against the Republic armada. They have hastily set up their defenses with automated turrets, and as many small vehicles as they could find. Now, a Republic brigade has stumbled upon the Separatist fortress, and the Confederacy will have to fight harder than ever before to survive the attack of this unstoppable republic armada.


This map is set up differently than most others, in that the goal for the CIS is not to capture command posts, but to kill as many clones as possible before being overrun. The capture of your command posts is innevitable, due to the sheer number of clones charging you.

Therefore, the CIS naturally has several "lines of defense", of which include the first line of defense, with several bunkers and autoturrets.

The second line of defense, featuring a rocky area with a lot of cover,

The third line of defense, which features two bunkers on either side of the pathway leading to the great spire.

The fourth line of defense is the great spire and its interior, but that part of the map is incomplete at the moment.

This map features
-An ARC Trooper for the Republic, which wields an ARC trooper WESTAR M-5 rifle (thanks to Moving-Target and Murdocr) http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/WESTAR-M5_blaster_rifle and a Reverse-Polarity Pulse Grenade, which I made myself. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Reverse- ... se_grenade
-Dwarf Spider Droids (thanks to Psych0Fred) for the CIS.
-Automatic Turrets that defend the CIS base.

Version 0.25 is almost ready for release, give it another week or so.

Wow, that arc gun looks Awsome!
As far as the map, it looks pretty good. (for 0.25) ;)
I think though that you should surround the map with some terrain hight.

Looks great! Are you keeping the terrain light so you can see it better in ZE? I do the same thing.

Yea, caleb is right. Maybe giving the clones some difficulty of going up a hill and getting a hell of sniper fire several feet away. Because after seeing those numbers of clones I'm pretty sure the CIS is going to be out numbered after 5 minutes. But thats a nice looking background there. I like the design alot.

That's the kind of thing the clones have to break through to get past the first line of defense.

I assume those are automatic?

This map looks really good but I would use more then 1 geonosis textures.
(I'm not one to talk though all my maps are 1 texture :P )
