No Vista for me (my school even offers it for free). Windows 2003 is my last Windows OS. I'm getting a tablet pc in a few months and will be putting Linux on it. I may run the Windows tablet edition in a virtual machine on the laptop, but Windows will never be a primary OS on any of my computers again.
(SWBF2 is the only reason I still have Win03 on the machine I'm on now)
Edit: For the post below:
Download a Linux live disk and try it out. Linux will boot and run off the CD. It won't change anything on your computer.

Talking about adobe? To view sites like Lucas Arts? First off which browser? ONe way i can think of with the info you gave, is to go to lucasarts.com and click on installing it.
If that don't work. Manually download it and install it.

I had to manually install Java to work.

Off-Topic: Darth_Z13: You might want to try out Linux as a cheaper alternative to Windows as an operating system. It may not have as many shiny cool neat features that windows does, however when it comes down to the nitty gritty basics, Linux is just as good as Windows but cheaper. Trust me, my father designs framework for Linux programs and he uses Linux all the time!Darth_Z13 wrote:-OFF TOPIC- I've been debating whether or not to try out Linux...

well that's good.
I did some more research. One is McAfee is causing it. the problem is i don't have McAfee installed anymore. I deleted it from the windows.old folder. So i'm lost there. Then there's the possibility i got hit by something. I currently don't have any Anti-virus. I plan on getting Norton Vista version soon. Third is that i turn of the modem, computer and router, then turn the modem on, then router, and finally computer nad that should get things running faster. Also i found out that Vista has like to traffic networks going on. I don't know how to explain it, but Vista has to things going on at one time.

long time no see. anyways it's not a virus. I did more research (yeah!) and i think it was Norton's site that said one of these apps will appear and none do.
So the reason for my disapearance wasn't because of a virus but because of stupidity. Now you can go ahead and laugh.
NOTE: Don't update your BIOS xp version on Vista.
So i blame 75% on my stupidity and 25% on Vista not being able to handle it so i have to buy a new motherboard.
