Post by 501st_commander »

I was tring to find a program to convert sketchup modles to .obj for converting them to xsi. I came across this program on sourceforge. Its Called MeshLab. Its free (yay) and very handy to convert things.

It can import PLY, STL, OFF, OBJ, 3DS, COLLADA (.dae), PTX, V3D, PTS, APTS, XYZ, GTS, TRI, ASC, X3D, X3DV, VRML and ALN

and Export PLY, STL, OFF, OBJ, 3DS, COLLADA (.dae), VRML, DXF, GTS, U3D, IDTF and X3D

MeshLab

i thought i'd share it with you all.

Hmm... looks useful. Now I won't need to go through blender when I want to get my SketchUp models into XSI. Great find.
