Hey all, I am the original Master Fionwe, creator of the Battle of Geonosis, 125th. Some of you might remember me from years ago. Anyways, I recently bought a new computer that can run the game fine, and have found myself with a lot of spare time, so I am returning to SWBF2. I am wondering if there is a program created that allows one to recover the data from a finished mod, so as to keep working on it. I lost the master copy when the old computer was wiped, and want to actually finish the above mod. Just thought I would check first before starting over from scratch.
Thanks in advance.

If you mean a .LVL extractor, there is one on SWBFiles if I remember correctly
off-topic: If you are Master Fionwë, why don't you log on from your original account?

the lvl extractor can only extract textures and probably luas, but thats all.
i think there is no way to recover a whole map with everything back to the sourcefiles.

To be totally honest, I just assumed when I registered last night that my old account had been deleted to save space. It's been such a long time, I didn't think it would still be active. Thanks for pointing that out to me.
I'll probably just have to start from scratch, it should only take me a few months. lol

During the munge process files change formats completely. Unfortunately the only thing you can recover are textures, which are in Microsoft's DDS format, which then can be converted back to TGA.

One can mix and match layers from different maps. You can make a new map which loads your old one. You wouldn't be able to edit the old map in ZeroEdit, but some changes can be done through Lua, such as deleting no longer wanted objects. If all you want to do is add content, loading the other map is fine. If you wanted to really edit things, it doesn't work too well.
