Felucia: Mission Bountyhunter

Post by [Skirata]Darman[M] »

Hey, guys, this is the first map of me, called Felucia: Mission Bountyhunter.
You play in a squad of Advanced Recon Forces and have to destroy a the enemy stations andkill a mandalorioan Bountyhunter. The 43rd division will support you.
I haven't upload screenshots, I think this clip is enough. Enjoy it

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KVDRY-FECgo

Here's the progress:
Sides: 90%
Map: 95%
(Mission scripting: 0%)

I really want to make it a mission, but I think I wouldn't manage it alone.
So I could need a skilled Mission scripter. Interested? Just PM me.

New Progress:
Sides: 99%
Map: 99%
mission: 95%

I will now upload a test version and could need some people who want to test and then tell me what could be better and changed. If you are interested, just pm me :D
?Comments? :D

Nice work, from what I can see. It's looks pretty good!
May I suggest/ad some comments;
-The hoth bunker seems slightly misaligned with the sky
-You could try reskinning the icicles (correct word?) on the hot bridge to make them look like vines
-The camouflage on the ARF trooper looks painted, on some parts. I hope this doesn't come over too negative, but may I suggest to try to redo that part (or you could take the alfa layer from a still clean ARF skin and paste it over your current ones, that probably suffices in bringing back some of the details you've accidently painted over)
-If you need any help with AI planning, barriers and/or hintnodes, feel free to shoot me a PM.

Overall, from what you can see; nice work

I could do the scripting, I am fairly proficient with that. But you may want to try and learn so that you could do it in the future.

I'm sorry, what do you mean? I was trying to suggest "reskin the hot tunnel bridge, so that those icicles look like vines instead of ice", but I don't understand you reply to that.

I haven't made this map, but I think; to both: no. Maybe you can fly the dropship, but I don't see the point in that.

To go further on this, both are possible but are useless to do and usually only detracts from gameplay.

The reskin looked fine to me (as good as it'll get with the icicles still there), if he wanted it better he should just remove the icicles completely in my opinion.

Dang. Sorry I misread that. Yeah, I agree with you in that case.

To all of you: THanks for giving nice comments.
1. The Laatc is an animation, like the commandcenter
2. I think the icicles are nice in that dark green, because they look like swamp.
3. I don't no what you mean with bunker an sky ??
4. I also like the skin of the ARF, it is painted, think it looks good.

to mswf: I think I'm ready with planning and barriers.

to StarkillerMarek, thanks for your offer, I think I've got easy objective plans, can I pm my conquest script and my plans fo the mission to you.

And: yeah, it would be nice if someone could tell me how to do it for the future, I would prefer a german modder, is there anyone interested?

No, I didn't mean that. (though you are right) I meant the positioning of the bunker. (It's not one smooth path from the ground to the inside of the bunker)

Yeah, sure you could. I could even walk you through what some of it means after I finish(although I do not speak german). I will also need to know your maps three letter word, the era, and the mode that you want it to be(I can explain these things if you do not understand).

You will need more than that, you need his entire maps folder to create a campaign in most cases, in the simplest you just need his scripts and world1 folder.
