GIMP Alpha Channel
So I opened up Jango's skin in GIMP and got really mad to see there was an alpha channel over it, so I couldn't see the skin. How do I fix this?

go to tools, color tools, levels and on output levels raise it so your skin will appear darker and visible. If you are skinning a droid though remember to put it back to normal again so that the skin will not appear shinny in game.

mav also made a great tut on this: http://files.filefront.com/tut3wmv/;975 ... einfo.html
EDIT: (you deleted your post o_O) okay well here is what i posted then deleted and am now re-posting...
you have to download it. basically what you do is go to layers->mode->decompose and uncheck "decompose to layers" then select RGBA and press decompose. 4 new windows shud pop up, go to any one of them, and press layers->mode->compose and it shud have 4 boxes that say alpha, green, red, and blue. make sure each matches up. (ie: red to red). now you should get one that looks complete. close everything else, and there is your skin. (some things may be a little off, i recalled most of that from memory. if youre still having trouble just post
