Just a small request Teancum. Could i have the CIS GAT model. I want to use it in my mod/mappack. And cos it's for BF2, i think it would be hard to use the whole vehicle, so just the model and perhaps the skin. Thankyou

Ogeb -- the GAT isn't done unfortunately. It still has a long way to go. The turrets are screwy (the head doesn't turn left/right like it should) and the animations aren't in-game. Both Psych0fred and I decided that it'd be better to release vehicles in a final state, that way each vehicles is the same in every map. I've been staying on Fred about it, so I'm crossing my fingers that he'll fix up the turret heirarchy and clean up and export the animations (it has animations, but they need tweaking). I'm actually working on the exhaust and some other things hoping to finish that up by the time Fred gets the anims and heirarchy worked out. But as soon as it's in a final release, it's yours.

Oh, and don't worry about the whole BF2 and only needing a model. Literally as soon as the tools come out, it will take less than a week to port any vehicle to BF2 (if they're already done). So, you can use it as a vehicle even in BF2.

Thankyou very much Teancum! Out of the vehicles that i saw i only need the GAT. though i don't know what other ones you are making, basically i need some vehicles from EP3, so if you decide to make some more could you tell me cos i am curious.

I wouldn't really say I'm 'making' them, persay, so much as finishing them. For instance the GAT and the AT-XT were in Clone Wars (also made by Pandemic) and were never completed for Battlefront. Luckily, Psych0fred still had the original model files.

I'll see what I can do. A lot of Episode III stuff is in BF2 already, but I'll see if I can find other stuff.

Okay, here's where we're at:

-I added a new vehicle called the AAT-X. There was a grey AAT skin in the assets, so this vehicle is essentially a standard AAT with a new skin and new weapons. I figured I wouldn't let the skin go to waste.

Now here's what I need from you. Please answer all four questions in your replies so I know roughly the opinions.

1-Some vehicles don't have sounds at the moment. I could add them, but that would postpone version 1.5. Would you rather try the vehicles now, or wait until sounds are set up?

2-The Swampspeeder vehicles (1man and 2man) currently crash the game. I can add them as props, (so you can see what they look like) which would be quick, or work on fixing them, which would postpone the release. What would you prefer?

3-Fred sent a Hailfire droid to me that works correctly (we think). That is, the treads move in the correct direction (take a look at the Hailfire on Geonosis when you first accelerate, you'll see what I mean). Is it worth adding to the map? (wouldn't take very long)

4-I have a more accurate STAP that goes faster than 2kph/mph. Would you like it in the map so you can try it? (wouldn't take very long)

Once I have enough answers in, I'll know where you would like for me to go on the next release. So please, please let me know your opinions so I don't deliberate over this anymore.

Agreed... except for number one. I wouldn't mind not having sounds for some vehicles in the next release, as long as they will get them eventually. ;)

@ Desann -- I don't think it should take more than a week to add sounds since I've pretty much got things down, but I'll give myself two weeks to be safe.

Well, I don't mind if the sounds are missing so long as they're added in later as Exclamation said. :)

Alrighty, here's version 1.4. It's got a lot of bugs, but I need to get it out so I can get vehicles tested and out of beta stages. You'll notice there is no sound. None. At all. I can't figure out what I did to the sound reqs, but I'll have to rebuild the folder and I doubt I'll feel like doing it for a few weeks, so here it is.

*TIE Phantom (has a tiny mesh bug that's not worth fixing)

Please, PLEASE: Admins of other sites -- this version is to remain Gametoast exclusive. I don't want the kiddies over at other sites to complain about sound if they don't have an explanation.

That being said, please post all bugs you find on the vehicles (aside from sound), even if they've been reported before. I'm creating a log so that I can keep track of bugs. Once the starred vehicles are cleared of bugs (hopefully this release) they'll be uploaded here, so I need thurough feedback.

hi

one really small bug with the jedi interceptor (when its in the high spawn position)

if you jump on top of it at the front, you slide off and die.

(is that a bug?)

bleh

BUT great work so far. :)

(at-lt (pt) still has legs bug also)

EDIT: if you boot your team mate out of the vulture droid and take off, he dies. (if he doesnt move)

i tested it yesterday and the Tie phantome wen its destroyed ot looks more its a Tie damm forgot the name but thoes eimperial scut fighters from BF2

It's called a TIE Interceptor. :P It's b/c there aren't Phantom fragments. Good job on finishing the Hovernaut Tean'!

Tean', do you know if additional shipped vehicles (Which have been removed in the final stages of SWBF's development) could be restored through such a project ? (Unless, they all have been set up back in your Tech Map...)
