Ditto. I mean the router. I couldnt get the shopping channel to work.ita an amazing experience, and once you play it, its really fun. Only problem so far is setting up the wii to my wireless router, which I had no success
I know the Weather and News doesnt come out till later this year.
Also It's just launch date so Nintendo may not have all the servers up and running. Also hte Wii detects my router also.
Wii60!!!

I wish i had the 360 also.Dohnutt wrote:So, I'm guessing you got both a Wii and a 360?
On the Wii website, it says "All channels may not be available at launch", so that's prolly why...
And, guys! You gotta post how fun it is! Tell us about the controllers... Is it fun using them in games?
Yeah. That's probably why. Because my signal strength is usually 2 or 3 bars.
*NOTE* I only had enough $ for hte system.
The System: very small. Can actually fit in pockets on large pants. It looks so sweet.
The controller: freakin amazing with just Wii sports. Very accurate. Feels great in your hand. Also natural with the nun chuck. The only games where it's a little buggy are boxing and tennis. In boxing sometimes you punches don't happen on screen. And in tennis it's not realistic. But none the less still very very fun.
The channels:
the disc channel: There's not much to say about it, because all it is is the menu before you launch a game.
The Mii channel: You can spend hours making Mii's and it's very fun.
The Shopping Channel: Wish i could tell you but i can't connect
the weather channel: Not available at launch
The news channel: Not available at launch
The Photo channel/Message board: Haven't used it yet.
Over all the system gets a 5/5
CAn't wait to play some games!

Not sure on the create vids or take photos, but it does update itself if it's connected to Connect24.Droideka88 wrote:I have one question guys. I did hear that Nintendo was going to still upgrade the software component and I was wondering if we will be able to create videos or take photos while playing the game?
Has anyone been able to connect to the shopping channel? I keep getting 52130 error. I know what it means but i can't fix. I got it to connect once. Then it started to update then an error popped up.

You didnt hear about the error thing? There was an error or something in the update that would breake the Wii... You need to send it back to Nintendo and they will either give you a new one or repair it if you want the saved data on it.
"Wii Error code 110210, 110211, 110212 and 110213
The error appears after updating the Wii using WiiConnect. The error message that appears reads "Error Code: 110213 There is a problem with the WiiConnect24 service. Please try again later."
Solution:
Nintendo asks that you call them at (800) 255-3700. The gamer who encountered the error 110213 was told that this was an hardware error and that he would receive a new system. The only thing that is not working is WiiConnect24 which means you will be able to play all games but not be able to upgrade the Wii.
Currently, Nintendo has two options in place to resolve the problem. If you do not have any data saved to your system that is important to keep, then you can contact Nintendo customer service and they will ship a new console to you in 3-4 business days. However, if you do have important data saved to your system, then things get a little trickier. Data like game saves and Miis are not disastrous to lose, but Virtual Console data is. While Virtual Console games are re-downloadable should you delete them, the data saved on your console regarding which games you have downloaded is tied to your system. In this situation, option #2 is the way to go.
Option #2 requires that Nintendo send you a shipping label which should take 4-10 business days. Once you receive the shipping label, you can use it to send the console to Nintendo for repairs, after which they will send it back to you. Sadly, this process takes 8-12 business days, meaning that if you choose option #2, you will be Wii-less for a good long while. source
Unverified Fix
If you reformat the disk the system might be able to connect to Wiiconnect24 again. (taken from the comments from the link above)
One Gamer reported that a manual reboot did help to complete the update. (taken from the comments from the link above)"
