I added this to one of the menus to make it look less empty. I think all the blank ones should have something like this, but more proffesionally done. This one was just a quick try-out.

And good news, now that I found out how to use several textures for one model, Ive started making more distinguishing skins for the diffrerent units, and the problem with weapon model/skins overriding each other is solved.

It seems the crashing issue is returning, I replaced the model of the imp_inf_sniper with the one originally used by all_inf_rifleman_snow and the game crashed after loading. Doesn't make any sense to me whatsoever, but Ill trace my steps backwards and try and find the cause of the problem. I was supposed to post some screens but photobucket doesn't work at the moment.

I think it will replace the default SWBF2 but Jawaraider could make an enable and disable file like other mods do.

Sounds good to me. But it would be cool to release it as the 123 mod did, changing all the maps and the sides on them before pasting it back in the game with new shell and common files.
Anyways, the next beta will be released in about a week I hope, it will have two maps in it, Mustafar and Geonesis basically. Conquest and assault on mustafar and CTF being replaed with geonesis ubermode something something. I am hoping to give the factions an unique model for every soldier, and it will fous on the weapon odfs and effects, like the bolter shooting in bursts of 3 rounds with a 30 round clip etc. Will be some vehicles for eah side, and the faactions are likely to be eldar, IG, SM, and chaos, with orcs and necrons making some appearance, but not as their own sides. And the chaos will be more of a band of heretics and cultists thatn the big chaos marines. I was also hoping to adjust the dark trooper model so the shoulder pads are more "down", the helmet is more like a stormtroopers and the knots on the chest/knees should be removed. But Im horrible at keeping deadlines, just so you know it.

That's allways been one of the major problems. Im not able to make maps on this or any other computer, and for a custom map, somebody would have to make it and send it to me with the right scripts and the world folders. Of course not impossible, but still.
EDIT: Will be quite busy for a while so I might release it even tough its not finished. I will also release the assets, so people with a working zeroeditor and more time can do what they want with it. I will still make a series of "official" maps releasing them at random times but everyones free to do something similar, I don't own the rights for it after all.

Republic engineer eh? Not a bad idea at all really. The heave weapon guy looks almost like a karskin in DOW, maybe Ill use one model for each of them.

Yes, and the middle of the helmet look a bit odd. Ill try and fix it. But the game has started crashing again, for no good reason. i think its the commisar that does it, plus eery SM unit. If any of these are in a map it crashes. They worked fine before and I didn't change a thing. Might take a while to get past that. I need to get XP back... The mod would be way better if I had zeroeditor available.

And yeah, I was planning to have space battles, but all the ships would need new models and its hard to find hi-res pics of them. (I found some thoug).
Steel legion would be cool, not sure wich model to use but it would be nice.
And GOOD NEWS ALL, I found an old computer with XP, meaning I CAN make custom maps!
I have to constantly transfer files back and forth between omputers but its way better than nothing.

The warhound thing looks like optimus prime on steroids. I think only the steel legion would look good without new models. The others would require new models.

I know its a unit, and I got the pics. Lots of ships it would be cool to play as. But its difficult to make models and not many people have ime to take requests.
