You need to make the object your using a destructable building, and then add loads of health to it. Then kill the object in whichever era you wish it not to appear, by putting KillObject("nameof model") in your .lua. Best thing is to do a search for destructable building and killobject.

Idk if it would work but i think even if objects that don't have health and are not destroyable i think in the lua you can still DestroyObject command in an era and it will work, i will try and see if it is true

It works, as I've done it several times before.

Put this in your objects .odf file, changing the name to the model your using.
Hidden/Spoiler:
[GameObjectClass]

ClassLabel = "destructablebuilding"
GeometryName = "nameofmodel.msh"


[Properties]

GeometryName = "nameofmodel"
IsNotTargetableByPlayer = "1"
MaxHealth = "99999999999"
AddHealth = "99999999999"
... and put this in your .lua. at the bottom of function ScriptPostLoad()
Just make sure it's the name of the .odf file without .odf at the end, and only in the lua era you want it to disappear. :

The scripting is unnecessary - it's more efficient to just set up separate layers in ZE for each era.

I find this way easier but do whichever way is easiest for you. It's not like there is that much scripting.

Ok im going to try it, but is there a way to change what the dead units are, like if i change the .tga file with hexedit to the snowtrooper skin? or will it only work for models that are the same like the sniper to sniper_snow.tga?

Well, if you want to hexedit the same model with different textures you have to change the name of the .odf and .msh files anyway, so you would just put each different .odf name for every KillObject.

Is this what you mean: One model, several textures (FAQ)

Update:
Well i have added dead bodies and blood on certain areas where there is alot of fighting between the ai, so far i only have bodies for the gcw but they do disapear in the cw so i will get on adding the dead droids and clones. I also have a new jettrooper but because i have the addon mesh it dissapears... so i tryed to hexedit and idk if it worked, i will have a topic in the modding section later today if you could check it and now to where you skipped to the pics

It looks good, except that there's too much blod and I can't understand what some of the dead bodies are leaning towards :?

ok i see the changes but i don't like this:
much blood = good game

i think you should reduce the bloody red and may can make a little little little bit in an hole of Wampas. and there are really too much death people lying around. this pic is really funny

I agree with Anakin, and 501stappo. Just a little too much blood, and the dead bodies wouldn't lie like that. Maybe you could put a gunship wreck there, and then lean the dead troopers around it. Might look a bit more realistic. Good update though :thumbs:

Phew.... glad you all thought soo cus i didn't like it lol to many killobject() crud ill work on it lol like there was 50 kill object things :runaway:
EDIT:there are turrets there where they are leaning they r just in the snow to make it look like they are snowed in
EDIT2: where the new blood will be around, like a cave of an animal,talz or wampa

but if they were snowed in they would have to make an handstand for a long time( i don't think death people make this often XD)

note gonna update CW soon i fixed it!
EDIT :D : MAJOR UPDATE
ok so this is an important update i added the command vehicles and other new vehicles, added the cis jumptrooper and republic bonus trooper the amazingly great news is that the paths for the huge command vehicles is really really good they make it through the map very nicely no crashing or detours now for some pics

also note that i forgot to kill all the imp obj in the CW era because when i had my script prob i deleted it by accident.... so i forgot to put it in i will be changing that.
