I decided to hook my laptop up to my new HDTV today and it works fine, except when I launch into a game of SWBF2. The menu loads fine, it is just as soon as I click Join Sessions it kicks me back to the desktop. However when I unplug my laptop from my HDTV the maps load fine.
This is the Steam Version by the way.

Make sure the screen resolution is set up properly. I notice If I try to run 800x600 on my 1920x1080 laptop, it crashes and if I try to run 1920x1080 on my old 800x600 computer, same thing.
I know those are extreme cases, but I still think screen res is important to stability.

i have a 1440x900 res monitor and i have no problem with any of the resolutions. What video card are you using?
