A while ago, someone said that vehicles do perform calculations on how to avoid objects, but that they just make the calculations so slowly that they often collide with an object before they start trying to dodge it.
Based off this, could you deter flyers by placing invisible objects with no collision geometry in front of obstacles, so that they would start trying to dodge the invisible objects well before they collided with the obstacle?
And yes, I know about flyer splines, but the obstacle I'm thinking of would be moving.

Don't you know about fly danger regions? They're supposed to do just that.

As I said, this involves dodging moving objects, so danger regions won't work any better then flyer splines, since only objects can be animated/made part of a vehicle.xwingguy wrote:Don't you know about fly danger regions? They're supposed to do just that.
