I've been trying to learn ZeroEditor for quite some time now. I've benn going through the tutorials, and it tells me stuff like you'll see this and you'll see that; e.g. for placing new CPs, it says that when I load the CP object, i should get something under my cursor.

I never get anything in ZeroEditor! I can only see black! BLACK! Nothing at all, no matter what I do! I can't see spawn paths, regions, boundaries, or anything else. And yes, I make sure that the view options are enabled.

Please help me!

Yes, I have loaded my map. I have also tried relaunching ZeroEditor. I've been trying to get rid of this problem ever since the ModTools came out. What I want to ask is: Do you all get this black screen, or is this a problem at my end? If so, I can just forget modding.

another silly question: did you remember to press 'f' to raise the camera above the ground?
