How to create models in XSI and other 3D applications and make them work in Battlefront 1 & 2. Post models, tips for application usage and share anything XSI, 3DMax, SketchUp, etc.

P.S. How would a defender balance out a B-wing? They fly way differently....
Like Mini said, it's only the size of an X-Wing, so it won't take up much space in the hangar.
As for the second comment, do the X-Wing and TIE Fighter fly the same? No. But they balance each other out. If the Rebels are going to get a super-heavy fighter like the B-Wing, the Imperials are going to need a heavy fighter themselves to counter it. In comes the TIE Defender, which could easily fill in for a heavy fighter class for the Imperials.
I made some b wing textures a while ago . If iv still got them (theyre probably on my old computer) I'll send them to you.
Off-Topic - I think my scene file for the Tie Defender is on my old comp aswell. I'l take a look for it and re-export it (could do with some tweaking) when/if i find it.
Mini,
This model looks great! I enjoyed flying that one on bomber runs in XWA. I was wondering why you modeled it in the landed position instead
of the inflight position? Is it easier to create the animations this way? By the way Teancum I'll be looking forward to your animation tutorial as
well.
im making the animation tutorial O_O and yes the takeoff animation starts from the landed position and plays from there, if i modeled it from the in-flight pose itd spawn that way and fly in the landed pose. i really need to teach you guys how to do this, character models are even easier.
Mini sounds great looking forward to your tutorial I'm not a noob to modeling however I rarely used animations. Couldn't you simply reverse the animations if you built it the other way just asking.
