Well, I'm sure that there is other other programs out there. However, where they can be found, or wether they are better I not - I can't tell you.

It really depends on who is using it. I personally find xsi very easy to use, as i feel it has a user-friendly interface. I have tried 3ds max, but never really got the hang of it. a lot of people use it, but i felt there was too much hunting around for the right tool. But i only tried it over a few days, so that isn't reaally enough time to judge it on. However if you are modelling for SWBF2, it is the best, as it is the only program that can properly export tp .MSH.

*EDIT*

RE: Is XSI really the best program to use?
depends in what fileformat you've got them in.
I, personally, prefer XSI
Maya is cool enough, but it's kinda in the middle of XSI and Max. Max, on the other hand, is the best in general stuffs regarding simulation and architecture alike stuffs. Maya is better in modelling and texturing for the more... uncommon models
XSI is WAY the best regarding Texturing and ESPECIALLY Rigging...
and of course smaller more human animations
Depending on what you want to make, you can experiment.

There is no Microsoft Word Document in that folder... only the .XSIADDON* which is the AddOn for XSI...

That's odd, because in mine, there was a word document. It was a tuturial on how to use XSI. I need that tuturial because I forgot how to... wait... Can someone tell me how to munge together objects, That's what i needed from the document.

Hmmm, i guess that's pretty obvious, but i'm the type of guy who doesn't notice obvious things...
*EDIT*
Okay, when I merged the objects everything worked out fine, but, the objects that i merged are still there. I tryed deleting them, but, if i delete them, it deletes my poly merge. How do i get rid of this?

In the "Explorer" view, right click on your newly created polymesh, then scroll down to "Properties" there will be a "pop-up" menu next to it, click on "Modeling", another pop-up box will appear, scroll down to the "Merge Meshes" section(Inputs) and there you will have the option of either "hiding" or "deleting" the input meshes, also if you have already textured the "input" meshes prior to "merging", you will also have to click on "Merge" in the "Merge Properties" section below it to preserve your UV coordinates.PieDude797 wrote:Okay, when I merged the objects everything worked out fine, but, the objects that i merged are still there. You can also use Milkshape and BConstructor for converting simple objects like props. I do it all the time.

k...
but it's a modder's life!
Crash+forgot-to-save is the modder's worst enemy... Ó.Ò
but you gotta remember: If you've done it before you know how it's made
Usually it takes only half the time to do it 2nd time

Okay, I have fixed the problems faster than I had expected, so, if someone could please export them that would be great! Oh, and, I'm not much of a skinner, so, can someone also skin the model to make it look like it did in the movie? Thanks. Oh and FYI, it's during the pod race where it shows the starting gate and the stands. Here's the link: http://files.filefront.com/XSI_MODEL_EX ... einfo.html
Thanks to the people who want to help.

RE: Re: RE: Is XSI really the best program to use?
I know this is a double post, but, I see two people downloaded this and I have heard no info about it so far. I need these models back exported and skinned and I need them as soon as possible. I need them to make some adjustments to my map.
